  1. In this case the nipples actually move where in contact with rim but twisting the bladed spoke. So this means the corrosion is between the inside of the nipple and the aluminum spoke. We managed to get all the carbon spokes out. Problem is the rear wheel drive side aluminum spokes😢
  2. Ag nee man 😭
  3. Sadly the coke trick and drain cleaner trick dit not work😢
  4. Please update us with the progress and photos please 🙏
  5. I have these set of Mavic R sys wheels (ques it can be called vintage) that I want to rebuild on new rims LBS managed to get all the carbon spokes loose on the front wheel and front wheel rebuild successfully. They struggled with the rear wheel and was only able to get the carbon spokes on the non-drive side loose. As some might know, there wheels have aluminum spokes on the drive side on the rear wheel. I believe galvanic corrosion might be the culprit Does anybody maybe have a hack to get these spoke nipples loose without damaging the spokes / rim or nipples. I don’t think the freezer trick will work as all materials involved are the same (aluminum) Tried heating them up – did not work. *** Drain cleaner ?? ... 🤔 *** Pour Coke in the rim ?? (these rims have no spoke holes and coke will actually stays inside the rim…) ..... 🤔 Thinking of cutting the rim to save the spokes, but it will be such a shame as they are undamaged. Got my hands on a pair of black rims (new old stock) so that is the reason for the build. Any advice will be appreciated - thanks
  6. I don't think they make such a huge difference as (mainly GCN....triggered by Josh from Silca) promotes. As a roadie I obviously owns a pair. But... back in the day I I owned a balance band as well
  7. Thanks for this. Never thought of this. This might be a deal breaker for me, as I wanted one to use with my road bike. I only use TPU tubes. (some of my TPU tubes (pink in color) have a plastic valve contraction.) 👀

  17. Bike Market listing are quite competitive priced. My first thought is always " joh , what did the actually paid the poor previous owner to be able to sell at this price and still make a profit. (This practice may be more common in the automotive world I guess)
  18. Wonder if the re sprayed one still has it's serial number on the frame 🤔
  19. Is there any way Admin can see if the cellphone number used by him to scam you is /was linked to any bikehub profile. Or was his number ever used in a private message text by some user even if the cell number linked to that profile differs. Ip address used on Facebook linked to an active or inactive profile here on Bikehub? If you wheel & deal bicycle stuff you did visit /:registered on Bikehub at same point. Period

  21. done this long time (26er times) ago..... "geto method" (BMX tube cut and stretched over rim. Inflate and cut off tube on sides after inflated. it held air well. Yes I did crash... tire came off rim while cornering. (my m@er suur geval) Morel of the story: Just because it inflates, it does not mean it is safe to ride.... 🤷‍♂️

  24. I once tried to fit n a mtb Lauf fork to gravel frame... did not work. Bike looked like chopper and was basically impossible to ride due to to geometry. Could not even ride the bike in my own driveway... 🤣 My advice is to make sure it will work before investing to much on the extender...🤷‍♂️
