  4. I remember when motorcyclists first started wearing these..and a few people sniggered...well now they're commonplace. Anything that makes you more visible could help save your life. I wear one when I ride in poor light. Oh, and don't worry what other people think, they don't do it very often
  5. and the jersey does nothing for gut...just sayin' Prick.
  6. What do the Modderfontein rules say about wearing a helmet when cycling there? I'm guessing from the OP's post that there is a concern that cyclists breaking the existing Modderfontein rules will have all cyclists banned from the place. Hence my question. Naturally the same would apply to motorists speeding ( but not in our lifetimes) I'm not sure the question is whether or not we should wear helmets, that is another story.......
  7. Other issues aside, do the rules at Modderfontein state that one has to wear a helmet while cycling there?
  8. Work out where it's leaking (use a bath, soapy water, etc) If it's in the tyre body or bead area.......replace the sealant (keep the booger to show others If it's from around the nipples or the valve stem, it's possible that the sealant has worked it's way past the tape/strip...replace the strip/tape and the sealant. +++use bombs in emergencies. Hope this helps

  19. .45ACP or 9mm ?
  20. I bought a 500ml bottle from the local chemist. Tastes like s&*t but it works like witblits. Expensive, so I squirt it on using a needle and syringe.

  22. I don't own a Thule rack and I'm unlikely to ever buy one for a variety of reasons beyond the scope of this thread. However, reading the various posts and listening to the OP's story, surely Thule (and by that I mean Thule SA, the "main okes" ) have messed up here. How difficult would it be to have a "take it to any Thule agent" policy? e.g. You're on holiday and the rack breaks (they do) so you just pop into the nearest agent and they sort you out. That way they get a lifelong customer and self-appointed marketing agent. This way they get the bad press, rightly or wrongly, but DESERVEDLY.
  23. I went for a full-length upright, foam covered, the whole rack comes apart quickly and fits in the boot. Tail-light boards are about the most expensive part of the whole thing at about R400 Maybe we apply to register the name "Boere-Tooly"
  24. Nice! I like the adjustable bit too. What holds them upright?
