If you want to make it a fixie, you'll need a track frame (geometry). Any old road frame can be turned into a SS using a chain tensioner, but ideal is a track frame. Best place to wise up is sheldonbrown.com Fixie > old roadbike frame = dental work and other surgery. Old frames? Gumtree, pawnshops, junk shops, you just need eyes like a shithouse rat.
