  1. Spez Phenom, no pressure as you sit on your sitbones.
  2. Correct, my alu flash was 10kg, with xo crank and crest wheels. Cannondale's alu frames are super light.
  3. The top of the range cannondale Flash alu 29er, I think it was just over R21000, was one of the nicest bikes I ever had. I had a Momsen SL929 before the Flash, if I have to choose now I will take the flash above the, twice as expensive momsen. (but my momsen was a medium and although I usually ride a medium the momsen was to big for me, so make sure about the size if you go for a momsen)
  4. My comment is based on the looks because I cant see that the vipa will be a bad ride.
  5. Vipa, even if it is just for the looks of the bike. I don't like the lines of the tallboy, the angle of the rearshock looks weird compared to the toptube of the bike. Vipa, epic, spark all have nice lines. But I have never heard anything bad about the tallboy, so it must be a great bike.
  6. No its not okay, as you can see it gets hubanized!
  7. Very nice feature, its not that new, been around for a while. It reduces chainslap/chatter and it helps to keep your chain in place, less chain drops.
  8. What is normal?
  9. My sworks frame uses presfit 30 bb? So do you use converters for the GXP bb? My bike is a couple of months old and I have no issues with pivots....yet.
  10. How did you do that?
  11. Where did you get the 10 speed 11/40 casette, or is it that general lee adapter?
  12. I Have a 32 on a 1x10 setup so yes 30 should be small enough, but in the end nobody is the same. You should look at the ratios.
  13. And there I almost thought you are the biggest box around...
  14. I dont see the "29er only" lable, so they wont sell that many....
  15. Wax that cost R20 000? are you serious, whats in it?
  16. This is correct, if that 17" is a medium it should be fine, I had a medium, i'm 1,76m and it was to big for me and i'm usally on a medium. But it was the one with the curved toptube, dont know the sizing of the new ones.
  17. So was Phillip lapped on the first lap? that does not sound right. What is the 80% rule?
  18. Is that what it mean, or was he lapped twice by the front riders?
  19. .
  20. If I were you I would have found out there and then who the horse belongs to, now its two months down the line and everybody can just say sorry its was not mine?
  21. What mm is the back axle of the epic sworks? You can use that axle on the front QR fork if you get the adapters for the hubs.
  22. Well its the "QR" fork that come with the frameset (sworks). I think Sauser did the epic with such a fork and Kulhavy had a thru-axle fork. But what i'm saying is that although its a QR fork you can still use that same thick (dont know the mm's) axle as the back for the front.
  23. You can use the same axle in the front as on the back, you just need to convert the hubs. Obviously just a shorter one.
  24. .
  25. Back quick release, make sure its tight and maybe put some grease or copperslip (if you have) in there as well.
