    My wife and I are doing the otter next year, got the entries yesterday I think. Looking forward to it. I will definitely consider the walking poles, any other tips will be much appreciated.

    You missing the point, he is not here all the time. It does not make sense paying the annual fee and then only use the trails for the time he is here.

    The type2 XO or even X9 rear derailleur will be a better upgrade than going to XX.

    For one you have the option to change the spider to accomodate other chainring options.

    Ok sorry break... I experienced it myself, and saw it on a couple of others as well.

    That cassette is not XO, its the PG1070. Oh and dont go XX on rear derailleur, they have a tendancy to break, or more specific the chain fall off the jockey wheels and then grind through the carbon arm thingy (dont know what its called). I will stay with XO if I were you.

    I also got great service from them this week, answering questions and checking the history of a powertap that I bought 2ndhand.

    I bought myself a 2ndhand tarmac pro SL4 and while riding on rough tar surfaces there was this very irritating rattle coming from the inside of the frame. It was my rear brake cable running through the toptube that was the culprit. I had to find a solution and came up with the following idea. I took a piece of cable sheath (about 20cm) that I got with a jagwire cable kit and put some cable bumpers onto the sheath, slip that onto the cable and into the frame and the rattle is gone. What a huge improvement!

    What is X1? I saw it somewhere the other day. Is that like the X9 of 1X11?

    That stem currently on mcfk's website retail for 298 euro. That is almost R4500! This bike is going to cost quite a bit.

    Lately the only good thing about stellenbosch is Jonkershoek. Look at the wheels...I will cry if it was my bike! Wonder where these topend bikes end up.
