  1. I see many of them on the Westcoast road between CT and Table View .... I do not hear many of them though when they come past .......... the bloody KTM riders though can be heard leaving their place of employment 20k's away :P

My wife says mine is only 15kms... I still have the baffles in my akrapovic
  2. Could you PM me his details.

I got a guy at work who was quoted R7700pm on a Kawasaki Z1000 SX valued at R170k he is only 27.

    That is absolutely ridiculous.

I pay 350pm through a broker on a KTM 1290 Super Adventure valued at almost the same.

  3. Here's my daily ride. It's difficult to keep my teeth warm while riding this bike because I'm grinning all the time, it's a hooligan machine of note. Where possible, I avoid tar like the plague. Luckily my commute to work is only around 2km's and even then I'm able to take a detour via pavements ^_^

This was taken while riding sweeper for the 3 day Tankwa XC Rally in Sept.

    Very nice, smc690?
  4. Ridden a mates one a few times. Lots of bottom end grunt, very frugal. My biggest annoyance is the low rev range comapred to my bm. buy one, you won't be sorry.

Just be mindful of size, I'm 2m tall and owned my NC all of 5 months before trading it in on the KTM.
  5. I believe these spots, not these one'specifically bike bike spots in general, are included in the list of lights that the cops are making people remove from their vehicles when stopped for a roadblock or normal inspection.

First time I've heard this, I've done duty with jmpd on a few occasions and not a thing has ever been said about my spots or strobes.
  6. I am sure all the racing bunches did the same across them and unfortunately we don't have the luxury of time to slow down adequately to make them "safe" - this has always been a problem when they where towards the end or the towards the start now. Fresh or not you hope everyone's skills is up to par to negotiate them.

It is not a new risk and yes they are marked and marshalled but you either risk or drop off. I just think another measure can be made to smooth them out a bit for race day.

One poor guy ended up in the river at the bottom of that downhill section.
  7. Yep, if you drive through there with a boat on the back, do not put anything inside the boat, they jump onto it and nick everything while you making your way through traffic.

I have heard of trailers being unhitched and rolled away while you wait for the robot to change... never to be seen again!
