you are making the assumption that your lack of weight loss is based purely on your exercise/diet have you not considered going to your GP for a blood test to see if you don't have some sort of hormone imbalance? thyroxin imbalance would cause you to pick up weight but due to your strict diet it may be the cause of the lack of weight loss.... insulin could also play a role, i would strongly suggest checking if there isnt a medical explanation to your problem.

what i find rather interesting about this whole doping saga is the hypocrisy, A cyclist is willing to cheat to win but when he is caught he is not willing to spill the beans on any other cyclists that use banned substances? i dont get it ??? honor amongst thieves?? i get the feeling that the bigger picture is being missed, there is a huge microscope on riders that test positive but the questions never get asked about where how who etc etc the proverbial can of worms should be opened once and for all and maybe just maybe there will be some "clean" sweat spilled onto top tubes for a change

i Had exactly the same diagnosis about 7 months ago, depending on how severe the herniation is there are a couple of options available it the herniation is not severe - cortisone and anti inflammatory agents are used. if herniation is bad but not burst there is a procedure that i went for: they put you under and inject a very specific medication into the discs and while you under they perform a manipulation. this treatment can work for many years but as my Doc says it depends on how long the first procedure works as the time span decreases every time you go. this is an in and out procedure.. walked out of hospital the same day If the disc has actually burst there is no option other than a discectomy which comes with a 8 week on your back recovery strenghtening of the core muscles is also vital to a full recovery! i really hope that your herniation is not that serious and what ever treatment you choose works well! nothing worse than chronic back pain

yip!! guys remember that if they break in and your alarm is not on, you will have a real mission to get your insurance to payout. i have specified that i do not have an alarm and its about R20 a month extra but i have the peace of mind that if i pop out to the shop or forget to activate the alarm and get cleaned out at least the insurance will pay out.
