  1. Hats off to the people who supported the buggies it takes alot of extra effort 👌🏻
  2. We are planning next year's ride already. Some changes to the buggy for a little less wind resistance without compromising the safety for the little warrior inside. This will be on me so I'm thinking to "auction" off the bar used on the buggy this year and use those funds to improve it for next year. Glad I added it last minute because it made it so much easier to push the buggy. We want to get closer to the Ebike powered/supported buggies. 😁
  3. Daai is nou fyn brag soos hul sou sê 🤣 Next time drop to the buggy group by the time we finish the beers 🍻 are waiting 😁 I'm super chuffed with the 5h36 we did my aim(hope) was 6hours. Today my bike feels like a Ebike 🤣
  4. Thank you very much I really appreciate it 🙏🏻 Sorry to hear about your daughter hope she is okay.
  5. I can't take all the credit without my 2 supporters my boet Rudi and friend Johan and everyone who helped along the way which I really appreciated, it would have been a complete different story 😊
  6. He truly loved it, spoke to his granny little earlier (he lives with her) she said he was still so excited he does not want to sleep, watching all the videos and photos of today ☺️
  7. Awesome morning out, weather was perfect. Loads of "gees" along the way. Met so many awesome people along they way, stunning views and a lekker ride 👌🏻 And then welcome to road racing, watch out for potholes and a$$holes. People getting upset because they nearly take you out with a disabled child, after you warn them multiple times. One rider took out another, it was the hardest I've ever seen someone go down and the one who caused it just sped off. 🤬 But luckily it's point something of a percentage of the people who think they are special.
  8. Thanks Chris, I think it's going to be a special day. Levi's face lit up the moment he saw me today he is definitely looking forward to the 109km, I'm praying so long 😁 anybody is welkom to drop by and say hi to him along the way as long as you push a little 😂
  9. Thanks guys, think I'll just stick to my 34sc because at 120mm I'm already pushing the Limits of my frame. I have no issues with the ride I just like the shiny decals on the Sid 😂 the silver Pike ultimate would look sweet on my bike. Weight is not something I'm to bothered about no use have a light bike and I'm 100+ 😁
  10. I like the look of the RS Sid 120mm and I am considering getting one. Just something bothering me there's a lot of them for sale like new or used. Are they just 💩 or why do so many people change them? I have a Fox sc 120mm and just lus to change something but don't want to spend so much money and be disappointed then I'd rather just change the decals on my fork. Looking forward to hearing your opinion. Thanks
  11. Well bike was and lube usually around R150 and gear cable and set could be around the same, so for what they did the amount doesn't sound to much. But a new bike going in for the first check where you purchased it is usually free. Then again this would also take into account the condition of the bike at that time. Not saying it's the case here but sommige mense het 'n talent vir goed op fffffvoeter.
  12. It must be a common problem as I picked up this one 😂
  13. Bearing man is in Brackenfell but sure there should be more branches
  14. Strand the place the wind is born. Everywhere else today was perfect riding weather.
  15. Training/testing for CTCT, the wind made it interesting. But I'd rather suffer now than on the day (more than I am going to 😁)
  16. Ask if they would upgrade it to m6100 or SLX if you pay the difference? That's what I would consider.
  17. I was on 175mm with oval ring for a long time. Changed to round with 165mm crank and my speed improved and I found it easier to keep a consistent speed. Unfortunately my crank gave up after years of use (I used it on 4 bikes) and 165's are so difficult to find so running 170mm for the past year +- not bad but I am missing my 165s.
  18. I think everyone can be glad the race was yesterday and not today. On the Positive side today was good wind training ride 🤣
  19. I have never seen so many hawks in one area, like they are waiting for something to die. Luckily I was not followed so I didn't look like I was dieing 😁 PS: The photos does not do it justice but I had to try and capture it. My first 100+ in a long long time but went great actually. You can go faster by going slower.
  20. Someone was not happy with my route choice today 🤣
  21. If there's a Cyclelab close to you I'd ask them, I've sent a couple of bikes with them and for a 29er with them boxing and sending it it was around R600.
  22. Unfortunately as ice-creamman said you won't get close to what you paid. I think if it's still like new you could get around R3500, but ja generally I'd say depending on condition between R2500 - R3500
  23. A good morning on the bike, what more can you ask for.
  24. First time riding oom JD trail at Rhebokskloof, the purple route has closed unfortunately that was fun.
