  5. RICE (Rest, Ice, Compression, Elevation) has long been used to treat acute and chronic injury and assist in orthopedic surgery rehabilitation. But traditional ice packs and other cold therapy and static compression devices can be messy and difficult to use. That's where Game Ready® comes in. Developed by scientists and doctors using proprietary NASA spacesuit technology, the Game Ready System simultaneously delivers both adjustable cold therapy and intermittent compression, making it easy to apply the two most difficult-to-manage aspects of the RICE regimen.
  6. btw.. Team Radioshack even uses that new state of the art GameReady apparatus "http://intl.gameready.com/" which top physios now have. It does the compression and freeze(icing) in one ..
  7. i finally got them a year ago.. after much research.. THEY DO WORK !!! ..and i now swear by them! my biggest shock was : last year, i got myself a MTB , a month later i decided to join my buddies and attempt a 3day MTB race(Oudtshoorn) ,which at the time sounded insane, with very little training. The physio recommended it and so i bought a pair of Linebreak full leggings. She even said if i really struggle after the 2nd day, i can ride with them. I did the medium route and wore them immediately after each ride. I finished comfortably.. that was a huge surprise to me! THEY DO WORK !!! ..and i now swear by them! ..and yes i even sleep in them when needed

  10. Missing Border Collie- Reward Offered Contact 083 777 8058 or 083 787 9224 Hi Everyone Our beloved border collie, Steele, has been missing since Wednesday, 18 May 2011. He got lost on Table Mountain so could be on the mountain or have come down into the suburbs. Please take a look at the notice and contact us should you see a lost collie. We are frantically searching for him and are desperate to get him home safely. He has a name tag with our numbers and is also micro-chipped so if the name tag or collar have come off then please take him to the nearest vet for a free scan. If you want to help, then please print a few copies of the attached notice and put it up at your local grocery stores, library, police station, vet or anywhere where there is public traffic. We would really appreciate that. We continue to put up posters but cannot get to everywhere in the city. Please forward to people on your email list. Much appreciated. Thanks so much. 17. hi.. so how much are these lights, and where are they available?
  18. i think of it this way: on a vehicle: Speed- a 13inch car wheel(mag) will accelerate the vehicle faster than a 17inch wheel. (which is why F1 uses 13inch wheels ) however, the 17inch wheel gives higher top-end! The Conclusion: 29er is good for cross-country mountain biking..rolls better, BUT is more difficult to climb with, and more difficult to steer thru tight singletrack!
  19. did the uphill race, this year was more technical and some added great single track:) but yeah..what was all of that R180 for?
  20. thanx Mr.Cameraman himself (over-compressed footage! )
  21. YES, you are right! I won't be surprised if its the same outsourced company filming it for supersport! and Yes, bad quality is more visible on a 16:9 aspect ratio TV ! i have both sets , and know what good Standard Definition quality is, as well as proper HD quality..
  22. there is something wrong here!! this is TheHub , is nobody going to start moaning about the exploitation of the the less fortunate gender ? ;-)LoL [free bump]
  23. i did the long 50km route last year as a First Time MTB racer!!! but a regular road racer. there was plenty of climbing, fortunately i had the Cycletour fitness, but for beginners not so fit, i would think its rather challenging.. oh i didnt even have a MTB, just asked a shop for a demo and went to race it
  24. i have it on good authority that, Supersport does not shoot the footage! It is outsourced to another media company! ..so i guess the same company that did TOSA for them.. b.t.w before the start while i was getting ready by the car , they came to interview me, and there was no Supersport branding anywhere too.
  25. ..taken by a friend at Jubilee Sq.
