  1. My gut is telling my Nino, but man I love watching Kulhavy and Sauser race. Those 2 just have it
  2. Oo ok. There were 3 splits on the first climb. 6 went free of which 5 stayed together til the end, then it was our group of around 8 maybe 9 guys and then it was you guys? I think you guys caught us with like 5km to go? We more or less finished all together
  3. What kit were you riding in? The first chasing group of AL was *** lazy
  4. Can someone else fetch licensed batch numbers for you? I can't get off work on Thursday or Friday to go fetch them myself.
  5. Why are there 2 bolts on the top tube near the stem? That paint scheme is nogal mooi though
  6. Tiny bit off topic, but are you planning to continue your Crit Series this year? If yes, can you give an idea of more or less when?
  7. Not sure if his has been asked before, but with the crazy fires going on down there has any of the route been affected yet? Would be a bummer if they shortened it again.
  8. My dad has an aeropress and it's great, just a bit timely when you need to make more than 1 cup. Why not capsule machines?
  9. Also what do you guys recommend as a proper, budget friendly coffee machine? Should one consider the capsule based machines, or do you get cheapish espresso machines that you can brew a proper coffee on?
  10. As gerald said, the best would be to just start doing without milk, but if you love coffee that might spoil it for you. You could try to wean yourself off of the milk. Just pour a little less each day/2nd day. I'm at such a point now where I prefer to drink milk(very very little) but if there is no milk I can drink it black as well.
  11. I really don't mind getting dirty on the bike, after all it is a mtb event. But when the mud goes up to your waist that's a bit hectic. Don't dig that section through the vlei. Definitely will not return if the mud and water is as bad next year as it was this.
  12. I don't lecture, I'm not a parent or a teacher. But I will speak to you to make sure you are aware of the (potential) dangers involved. If you decide to carry on and something happens to you conscience will be clear.
  13. Show us the studies that prove that helmets don't save lives and I will believe you. Sadly, you may battle to find this and may in some cases find contradictory stats. The whole point of wearing your helmet is for that 0.1% chance that you may survive. Sure if a car hits you from behind at speed odds are you'd be dead, but you might not be and a helmet sure as hell won't do any harm. So why not take a chance, wear your helmet and stop reasoning like a dwis?
  14. Is there a route map / profile available yet?
  15. Does anybody have experience with the Ambit 3 run? Is it worth the buy as its a slightly "older" model now that spartan has been released?
  16. How much did it cost landed? Looks amazing with the blank cover on
  17. I've always done a dynamic warm up instead of static stretches (leg swings, squat jumps etc.) Read an interesting article re static stretching the other day that reckons its not so good for you pre run. http://www.runnersworld.com/sweat-science/should-you-stretch-before-running
  18. How do you guys handle tight calves while running? Afterwards is no issue, I've just noticed that especially early into my run my calves are super tight. So not sure if this is normal or not?
  19. I'm assuming you guys know a little about cannondale For pure xc marathon/xco racing what would be the better option, the new scalpel SI 3 or scalpel hardtail equivalent. I'm looking to get rid of my current bike and upgrade to something a bit more racy.
  20. Its pretty interesting to see that whenever a new product has been released every hubber suddenly has an advanced engineering / aerodynamics degree I think they look cool and based on the videos explaining how they work it makes sense. But 65K for a set of wheels is a k@kload of money.
  21. Hey Guys, How long does it normally take to break in shoes properly? I recently bought shoes and the fit is perfect and super comfy when starting to run, its just still got that weird new shoe feel to it. Done 2 runs in them so far.
  22. Was a great race as always, just (as always) the lazy okes in the group who sit and do nothing make you work your ass off and then at the sprint you see them front row.
  23. Looks like Paarl, with the taalmonument in the background. Hopefully somebody can confirm?
