  1. Must admit, I am also an Oros fan. One bottle with Oros /water mix (tends to be on the sweet side) Other bottle contains water / salt tablet mix.
  2. No time like the present
  3. I hit 42 degrees on my ride yesterday. Even got tan lines of my bib through my jersey🥵 Luckily managed to control my fluid intake as was out for a good 6 hours (170Km's). The last 20 kays were definitely a HTFU moment.
  4. Hi Dylan. Where would you be starting from? I would stay away from River Road and rather use St James Crescent over Bryanston Drive. Up St James and Left in Eccleston. Brings you out by the Hobart Spar. Far safer and less traffic. The return ride will be a battle though with the morning traffic
  5. Have a Race Lite free to a good home?
  6. Hub handle has changed 3 times over the 15+ years. All aligned to the bike ridden (Road) 1st: FONDTF3 - Fondriest TF3 2nd: FONDTF2 - Fondriest TF2 Current: ISpeed_V - Head ISpeed V
  7. Relative freshman. 15years for me. That would make it 2009.
  8. Also waiting with bated breath to see what the cost would be. My guess is definitely north of 30-40K?
  9. Another fun day out for me (#15). Coffee stop in Bryanston with the old folks. Beer in Dunkeld and then vasbyt to the end
  10. Dont forget Ebike as well
  11. And to add the late for Church goers on Sunday mornings. Just as bad.
  12. "Paris 2024 and World Triathlon reiterate their priority is the health of the athletes." Should levels of bacteria remain too high by Wednesday morning, the men's and women's races are likely to be postponed to Friday, the contingency day reserved for the events. If by Friday the water quality is not good enough, the swim leg will be scrapped and athletes will compete in a duathlon instead.
  13. If the water Quality has not improved by Friday (contingency day), they will then make it a duathlon
  14. Slightly off topic but Men's Triathlon postponed due to poor (Sh.ty) water quality of the Seine. Was meant to be this morning. Possibly now tomorrow afternoon. Olympics triathlon men’s race postponed due to Seine pollution levels (timeslive.co.za)
  15. Firstly, welcome to the hub. Suggest you look at a Hard Tail (medium frame). Best bang for buck in the 5k range would probably be a Titan. Have a look at the classifieds. Example: Pre-Owned Titan 650 Series Comp (M) BM9738 (2016) | Hardtail Mountain Bikes | Bike Hub One also needs to consider the cost of a decent helmet (>R1500). This is one item you don't want to scrimp on. Baggies (not essential) but nice to have for extra comfort (Lycra is only for us roadies) Cleats if you are going in that direction. Factor all this in and you are already close to the R8 - R10 K mark.
  16. Hope that Mads is okay. Looked battered and bruised when he came across the line. Clearly lost Gibbo's wheel as would of been interesting if Gibbo had not of sat up. That bunny hop from the Cofidis ridder was insane.
  17. 2 days in. Pog in yellow, already an hr between first and last on GC and the mountains tomorrow. Going to be interesting.
  18. Just had a look at his Wiki profile. Having dealt with abandonment issues from his father as well as sexual grooming/abuse from his childhood coach, one cannot imagine how this must affect someone. I sincerely hope that friends and family help him through these times.
  19. Looking at the stage profiles, there could be a good chance that GC is already panned out by end of stage 4?
  20. My 1991 Vacari purchased from AvH cycles. Reynolds 501 tubing and 105 8 speed group set.
  21. Neoprene toe covers and a good pair of Mohair socks.
  22. This is what google has to say: WHAT IS THE WARRANTY POLICY FOR SCOTT BIKES? There is a warranty for frames of 5 years. However, the warranty is only valid, if a proof of maintenance from an authorized SCOTT dealer in every of the first three years after the purchase can be brought forward. The authorized SCOTT dealer is admonished to confirm the maintenance work by stamp and signature. In case no or an incomplete proof of annual maintenance can be brought forward the warranty for the frame is reduced from 5 to 3 years. Costs for maintenance and service have to be borne by the owner of the SCOTT bike. For the Gambler, Voltage FR and BMX bikes the warranty period is limited to 2 years. Based on the above and the highlighted portion, they technically should honour the warranty?
  23. Gibbo also caught up in it.
