To steer the post in a different direction, what are the weather god predictions for the day? If the last couple of days are to go by, I predict a hot and windy ride.

My last rant about how flawed the seeding process is. Chatting to my next-door neighbour (who also cycles), who completed last years race in 4hr 30 and has not done any races this year, is seeded in 'B'. The mind boggles when the organisers give the 'Based on Merit' excuse as to why your reseeding request was declined. That said, will just treat this years ride as a fun day out with maybe a coffee stop (or beer) on the way

Total mystery as to how the seeding works. People I know that rode the same time as me last year are all seeded either F or G and myself CC. The mind continues to baffle.

It is a total mystery as to how the seeding is calculated. 2021 finished in 2.57 and was seeded in D for 2022 2022 had a chilled ride and finished in 3.40 2023 seeding CC WTF. Still waiting for reseeding feedback

Seedings for 2023 being sent out. Just like last year, a right royal mess up. Rode an easy 3.40 last year only to be rewarded with a CC batch seeding. Seeding query lodged.

Feel for the organisers as well for the uptown folk that have already made their way down or were planning on leaving today.

The Cradle has become an absolute S..t show of late. Feel a lot safer doing my suburb routes from home having to doge the odd taxi (which most of the times are more considerate that the motorists.) If I do venture out to the cradle, will rather go in the afternoon.
