  1. Donation made in the merit of a complete recovery for our buddy @Cois I've mailed you the pop - thanks for putting this together!
  2. Been eyeing that set on Takealot! Also been using my Dad's Gedore socket set (which is older than me) for many years so I have no doubt that these will serve you well.
  3. I'd deff try see if you can borrow an ANT+ or perhaps buy one from Takealot and return it if need be. Give the network cable a go as MTN LTE is usually rock solid. Edit: Rode on Zwift earlier after the update and still worked perfectly as usual.
  4. So then that should rule out the distance issue. If you're experiencing the same issue on 2 different trainers, I'm thinking that the common denominators which you should check are: *insert imaginary flow diagram* Can you see if the problem persists on another PC with the same ANT+ dongle? Can you borrow another ANT+ dongle from someone? Is your PC cabled in via Ethernet or are you using Wi-Fi- if you're not running a network cable, I'd give this a go as it made a big difference for me.What internet connection type are you using and what's the speed? - Mine runs perfectly on a 10/10 Fibre lineI'm going to rule out an issue on the Zwift side as the internet would be full of complaints..
  5. I think this is like the one I got: https://www.builders.co.za/Tiles-%26-Flooring/Rubber-flooring/Insertion-Rubber---Black-%281200-x-3mm%29/p/000000000000449839
  6. Is your ANT+ dongle near your trainer? I purchased a USB extension cable so that mine sits right next to my pain equipment.
  7. I bought a cut to size piece from builders which I use for my indoor trainer. Cost me about 180 Ronts
  8. I would take the cassette off the road bike and put it on the trainer.
  9. Can you guys recommend a glue gun? I've currently got a Topline and Ryobi but have successfully managed to break the trigger systems numerous times as they're made of plastic- tired of having to open em up and super glue them. Any suggestions would be great!
  10. 10000% Used to run an NX Cassette before I got a road bike for the trainer:
  11. Sign up for TrainingPeaks (TP) (if you're not already signed up, also consider paying for paid version if you see value in it, I do) Pick a proper training plan from TP that suits your needs. Link TP to Zwift - workouts from TP will then appear in Zwift under workouts. TP will send you a daily mail about upcoming training- I find that this helps with motivation
  12. Buycycle.co.za - they're part of ikhambi (the agents) I believe
  13. Posted the link - it's from Top Dog Toolshop: https://topdogtoolshop.co.za/product/metabo-bit-box-sp-71-pieces/
  14. Not sure if I should post this here or in the toolbox thread: Bosch Go Gen 2 Metabo Bit Box Time to start taking stuff apart!
  15. So not a ratchet set but just ordered this...
  16. I'm sure by default, you're using the Zwift icon on your desktop to load Zwift- this is usually a shortcut to the ZwiftLauncher.exe file. Try launch Zwift using the ZwiftApp.exe file. It's usually found here: Your PC -> Windows © -> Program Files (x86) -> Zwift If this works, I'd delete the current icon on your desktop and replace it with the ZwiftApp.exe one
  17. Take all my monies!! I still use my dad's Metabo Drill which is +- 35 years old and it's rock solid. May I ask where you got this from?
  18. Also had fantastic after sales service from BOA for my 5+ year old Spez shoes. They send me a replacement pair and a spare set pair at no cost (parts or shipping). Mine were ordered on 28 Dec last year and arrived via DHL on the 3rd of Jan. Seems like they're no longer using local post office which is great.
  19. I think an OTG cable may work... you’ll just need to check what type of connection the S8 has and get the right type of converter. Maybe something like this/along these lines: https://www.takealot.com/usb-3-1-usb-c-type-c-to-hdmi-digital-av-otg-adapter/PLID49127103
  20. I'm no android expert and my limited experience with Chromecast's has been terrible so my suggestions would be: Use your notebook run Zwift.. What ports does it have? Does it have an HDMI port? If not but it's got USB 3/USB C, you can get an adapter and USB 3/USB C -> HDMI/VGA to connect the other monitor to it. Leave the monitor in place/permanently setup and then when you want to ride, you'll just need to give the notebook power and plug in the adapter/HDMI/VGA cable. Another option would be to get a dedicated PC/Laptop for your pain cave.
  21. I've seen a few vids on YouTube where guys service their Kickr's at home- not sure if yours is still under warranty but it seems like a fairly simple task and often a bit of lube/replacement of bearings fixes all probs
