  1. sorry grapkas - dont agree
  2. ... and rather graphical!
  3. excuses, excuses - too much turkey if you ask me! nice new bike!!!!!!! we ended up doing about 120 @ 31km/h - nice steady ride. more of the same tomorrow!!
  4. me and another will be @ engen @ 5 as usual. sure there will be others.
  5. congratulations!!!!!!
  6. mmm - some nice advice coming in here. main concern is the fore / aft position & it also seems that the SLR sags slightly when I sit on it. have not changed the saddle yet - either tonight or tomorrow evening.
  7. wonduhboy & WAGLIO had some valuable input. SLR to be removed from one bike & replace by arione. seatpost to be lowered by 5mm - stats on web show the arione to be 5mm higher on the rails than the SLR. SLR gel flow to remain on the other bike.
  8. apparently he will let you beat him in a race of your choice during the year - this way you are convinced that the product does indeed work!
  9. mmmm - seems that the arione would be turned into a paperweight rather soon...
  10. had the SLR for about 8 months now & it gets very uncomfortable after about 3 hours in the saddle. have the gel flow on another bike & that one seems to be fine- figured i will try the arione
  11. would love to see how long that ride will last!
  12. had enough of the the selle italia & got the fizik arione. when i fit the arione do i have to lower my seatpost, or are these two saddles close to the same height? it is a bit difficult to judge by just looking at them, and i do not have any precision measuring equipment. same goes for the fore / aft position - do i just get the offset of the current center of the slr as opposed to the seatpost, find the center of the arione & mount with the same offset? i really don't feel like going through months of micro adjustments.
  13. Turk182 - PM bruce - i think that they are well worth it!
  14. guess what i am wearing under my chinos today!!!!! thanks Denise / Bruce - works really well & I tend to look rather cool in my TRON suit!
  15. more protein & less starch eat 3 times a day (at least) drink water instead of high-carb drink for training drink plenty of water during the day don't drink beer if you are really diligent do 45mins in the afternoon after work on the indoor @ a steady HR between 70-75% of max. again only water!!!! plenty of sleep to release the GH stay away from any from of french fries & simba crisps!!!!!!
  16. how does the product actually increase your VO2MAX? - i assume you have to actually wear the product during excercise for this effect? santini now makes cycling shorts with similar technology - they call it powerlycra & claim that the pressure of the fabric reduce muscle vibration & therefore less fatigue. local dist. Athletic Goods CC - epoh - speak to bruce.
  17. clubride on saturday - 10km warmup to start, 70km clubride, 20km on my own. friend got a puncture 1hour into the ride, so i stopped & helped (10mins delay). a bit later my chain came off on a hill (1min delay) & we still managed to catch the group we started off with. cubride on sunday - got up & it looked very overcast. met the club & ride was to voortrekker monument (again!!!) - rode for 2km and decided that it is going to rain - turned back & got back into bed - it ended up not raining.
  18. 28 jan do you need to see your PT girl again?
  19. tooHot!!!! - are you coming to GP for the H2H/
  20. very sad indeed
  21. i have a pair of spinergy stealth pbo clinchers with alu brake surface & very happy with them. 1695g for the pair - you wont get many lighter deep-section clinchers. i see spinergy also have a FCC model - full carbon clincher @ 1500g for the pair! won't mind a pair of ZIPP404's with tubs, but that would have to wait.
  22. been there & done that!
  23. rain stopped so managed to go on clubride!!!! noticed that my balance has improved a bit from this past week on the rollers & I also steer differently - more with my body (balence) and less with the bars! will do another hour on the rollers today because it is fun. will also check out the drums from time to time.
