  1. Here's his contact details https://www.capetown.gov.za/family and home/meet-the-city/city-council/find-your-councillor-ward-or-subcouncil/view-councillor?CouncillorId=8183
  2. His position within the DA has changed but I'm pretty sure he is still responsible for safety and security.
  3. You're absolutely right. Cyclists are dicks 7 days a week along that route. On the other hand I often have to drive along Camps Bay/Clifton/Sea Point behind motorists driving less than 40km/h and I don't see any motorists hooting them. A couple of cyclists hammering along there at 45km/h and all hell breaks loose.
  4. Irma is the best
  5. I wouldn't do an iron man on a set of Cinturatos. Goodyear F1’s or Schwalbe Pro One. Cheaper than Contis and test the same rolling resistance in the real world. Don't pin all your decisions based on rolling resistance's drum. Silverstone labs tested the tyres very close
  6. Always had great experiences with Qatar and Emirates. I never paid anything extra, never disclosed ahead of time, it was part of my 2 x 23kg allowance. Maybe you pay if it's overweight, not because of size
  7. I placed an order for a new Boa. They posted it June 28th, it arrived August 16th
  8. No. I just can't believe people are buying such a basic, heavy bike for 65k
  9. Non aero basic wheels are handlebars and almost 9kg... what's the point
  10. The problem with a budget disc bike is that it will be close to 9kg where you could get a rim brake bike 2kg lighter
  11. Trek website says top model is between R270k and R330k. I think I might start bike-jacking!
  12. I'm not 100% sure on compatibility but you can buy and build your own battery and you may be able to fit a later Di2 derailleur. What groupset do you have, is it the firsyhen with external battery?
  13. MTB and road cages have a different design
  14. This is a really****** up country. Fixed it for you
  15. I have signed the petition but is it realistic to create a cycle lane on that stretch of road that anybody will take any notice of?
  16. It's not just parked cars you need to worry about. Going through Camps Bay people are always jumping out of an Uber while the car is in the road with cyclists flying between the Uber and parked cars
  17. Chew some Mybulen like smarties, will fix your trapped nerve quick quick. Last time I went to a Chiropractor in Sea Point he left me in so much pain, watched me crawl out of his office but emailed the invoice by the time I crawled to the car
  18. Maybe the shorts are too small and are being stretched a bit too much. In other words... maybe your bum is too big?
  19. From the OP's initial post I would guess that he wouldn't know what is vrot and what is not.
  20. The problem is when you go and buy a 2nd hand bike for 35k and then realise it has an issue with a shock or fork or the bearings are shot and then you're immediately in for another 7k and the cassette and chain are on their way out not long after. Before you know it you've spent 45k and this is before you find out if there are any issues with the shock or the dropper of the shifter or the wheels or the BB.
  21. With a MTB definitely buy new
  22. What's that got to do with anything? All those components were changed and it cost 7k... Bargain
  23. Chainring, cassette, chain, pulley wheels, hanger, BB, brake cables, gear cables + labour. 7k is a bargain. If you don't think so then you should be doing it yourself
  24. That was cheap
  25. I tried those bars years ago, the transition part from the round hood bar to the flat bar is very uncomfortable
