(Holding thumbs, holding thumbs) Won't be back soon if I achieve that......... just too expensive to be worth it

janneman72 Posted March 7, 2011 Posted March 7, 2011 This will be my 6th Argus, nearest was a 3:04 in 1997 but I stopped and helped my buddy who bonked 5km's before the end and missed my sub 3...So it's still haunting me, aiming for a sub 3 in 2012 though, not this year...

cat-i Posted March 7, 2011 Posted March 7, 2011 (edited) 20 3/4. if all goes well, 21 this year times range everything from 3:21 (including a mechanical on suikerbossie, and a singlespeed with no freewheel from there) and 5:44 on a mountainbike with knobblies and a harry-potter broom that year that they stopped it 'cos it was too hot. Now that I am closer it's easier to say "let's do the Argus", so this year will be my first attempt. Hoping for a Sub 7. I know, I know. At least if you set the bar low enough you'll always achieve your goals. Now there's some breakfast cereal wisdom for you right there!
