Soon to be completed... The momsen will donate some parts to "The flying Dutchman". Since I'm first generation Dutchman South Africa I thought my bike should pay some kind of a tribute to my heratige, hence the color scheme. I can't wait to put this puppy together!!

That's going to be interesting with a Surly fork. Is that the KM fork?

Had hubber ask me to build him a belt drive.

There aren't a whole lotta frames that split that have an eccentric or sliding dropouts.

After a long chat he tells me he has a mate who could split the frame and do a good job.

Well a damn good job was done.

Niner S.I.R. Nine in moondust.

The rear stay split.

Eccentric BB, the frame will however run the new improved BB from Niner.

The tubing is quite thin.

They cut a piece out and lugged (for a lack of better words) the jigsaw piece in.

The weld was super neat and paintwork was touched up.

Is a great frame, saw a SS one with a niner carbon fork at northern farms on Sunday, except was a chain drive and not belt.

Just seeing the Reynolds sticker was enough to drool over ...

Red for the fork and Smoke for the frame. Gave the frame a coat of matt black first though.
