Very nice. Once you get shorter chainring bolts you can remove the redundant big blade and remove a link or two on the chain, so you do not have to push the tensioner all the way up..

Here's my latest single speed bike build:

Awesome bike that's a real eye catcher for your daily commute or moonlight mass rides.

It is a 56cm lugged steel frame and fork with flat bars and a single front brake.

Mavic double wall alloy rims.

Very light (10.35kg), fast and absolutely fun bike to ride.

Selling for R3500.

Mine will always be the Brooks, will probably sell the others.

Pretty good, thought it might not be as stiff and might get a bit of vibration under braking but all is good and it has a bit of give in it , so not too hard on the wrists.

WoW BBN those bikes look awesome !!!

I've just finished building my Jamis Exile Comp as a SS. I upgraded my current bike to a carbon Jamis.

Going to put it through its paces in tonight's CM.

  • I used an On One CT
  • Shimano Acera Crank ( could afford XT at the Mo)
  • Surely 18T rear Sprocket
  • 32T Chainring I thin Surely aswell got it from LBS
  • Shimano 9spd chain

Bike is pretty smooth and quiet.

That is how a singlespeed should be built my friend, nice bike! Carved from stone like a luddite (with bits and bobs you can put together) and not bought at the store
