There was smoke coming from the rear of the McLaren when it came to a stop.

And the Toro Rosso goes round and round and round and ..............................

Gary Anderson:

I took the laptimes from yesterday’s running to create an adjusted lap time as if they were all on soft tyres. I have only taken the run length that they did their best time on and adjusted that to suit the fuel load at 0.05s per lap. It’s impossible to know the fuel loads, but you can make some judgements based on the run length.

For tyres, I have adjusted the lap times by 0.3s per compound, which seems a decent average delta. But it depends on what the car balance is like and how it suits the compound, which is why it will vary from car to car.

The Red Bull runs certainly look strong based on this, but bear in mind it has been known to run with a lower fuel level than its rivals in testing, while Mercedes is often very heavy.

Adjusted times
1 Red Bull 1m18.347s
2 Mercedes 1m18.750s
3 Renault 1m18.792s
4 Ferrari 1m18.891s
5 Williams 1m19.449s
6 Haas 1m19.737s (suspect lower fuel than some)
7 McLaren 1m20.206s
8 Sauber 1m20.218s (probably lower fuel than most)
9 Force India 1m20.455s
10 Toro Rosso 1m20.623s (identical to the adjusted time from day 1)

On board  footage sucks with halo in the way

I totally agree. It's the most hideous piece of crap ever fitted to any car.

On board  footage sucks with halo in the way

You see Kimi's response on a halo question?

Something like "Kimi, did the halo help in a any way today?"

He answered "Yes, it kept the sun out of my eyes......."

I thought the race was alright, lots more overtaking which is good.

Plus Hamilton didn't win and we got to see him bitch and moan like a teenaged schoolgirl which is always fun.........

Gotta love Lewis

Hamilton: I’d prefer to trust instincts over computers after VSC error

With no way past Vettel during the closing stages of the Australian GP, blamed for the lack of overtaking opportunities at Albert Park combined with the 2018 F1 cars producing turbulent air for cars following closely behind, Hamilton has urged a rethink into the Mercedes strategy by placing more trust in the drivers.

“It’s such a team effort but when you’re relying on so much computers, so much data, so much technology to come up with the strategy I wish it was down more to personnel,” Hamilton said. “I don’t know if that is the right saying but I wish it was more in my hands."

“I love being here in Australia, I think it’s a really fantastic city and I love driving around Albert Park,” he said. “I am sure they could make adjustments to enable us to [overtake more], another DRS but it happens to be the second hardest track of all the 21 to overtake.

“If my best friend was on the edge of a cliff and I couldn’t get to him to save his life, that’s how hard it was to overtake. I couldn't for the life of me with all my might, all my abilities, all my tools, I just couldn’t get close enough.”

Lewis has made me realize it’s not about moaning, but rather about how you moan.

Eg: Kimi moans often, but he doesn’t come across whiny like Lewis does.

A Scandinavian accent helps

Thought about it now a bit. Think it’s because Kimi doesn’t really give a toss whereas Lewis tries a bit hard to be cool sometimes.
