Filling up at Caltex the other the day, one of these also pulled in for some gas. Can't say I've seen one before.

 

do the "toilet" sign and the "loud noise area" signs point to the same place

Can just imagine the propwash behind that thing and trying to line up to re-fuel.

 

Can you imagine the vibration and trying to keep those "props" from shaking the whole thing to death? Helicopters tend to want to shake themselves to death from the minute they leave the production line but that thing must be another challenge keeping the vibration down

never really understood trikes. it takes the worst things about mototrbikes and the worst things about cars and puts them together.

contra-rotating rotors / props do a lot to cancel that out. Also there'd be balancing cams in the engines themselves, so not that much of an issue. The prop-wash though. Yikes.
