I also remember catching plenty Shad just to the left of the estuary mouth and I used to go into the mouth and spin for Garrick when the Shad were biting big time.Probably about 15 years ago. We used to go higher up the estuary, a place called charters creek. But the very last time we went was to st Lucia itself. Long Wheel Base 1

Not sure if it is open again. We used to go there and sodwana every year to fish during holidays when we were at school. July was sodwana and st lucia was the next one. Think it was September/October time. Miss this days. Still used to be able to drive on the beach. My toppie had the bakkie kitted out for fishing and beach driving.
