Thought the same...29er better on technical sections...Burry only one with the 29er and fell twice on the technical section.

That does not make sense .... the 29 is better on technical sections but the guy on the 29er kept falling on the technical section  or did the other guys fall more than twice and the guy on the 29er just fell less than they did?

This has stopped being a debate loooooooooooooooooooooong ago! All this has become now is: "What 3" can do for your cycling life..."

It is not how much you have, but how you use it.

Rubbish - it's all about how much you have. He who dies with the most toys wins!

Before you die here is a list of bikes/bike stuff you should own:

A single speed.

A 29er.

A rigid fork on your mtb.

A full on TT bike.

An old school, hand built 36 hole set of tubby road wheels.

A road fixie.

Thats just a start - feel free to add...

Then some dope comes up with a 29 inch wheel and all of a sudden everyone claims to be Burry Stander!

Why stop at a 29"? Why not a 30"? Or a 29.5"?

Because wheels bigger than 29" would make you look like a clown! :P

By the way, for what it's worth, and I now have the experience (and the credibility, after riding Epic... on a 29" hard tail!) to say this .....

Did not notice that you were riding ox wagonwheels on the epic but that explains why i could not keep up with you...

I rode my 26.5er on thursday for the first time since June last year, boy did it feel *** compared to my 26er, as a result I dont even want to know how a 29er feels.

You know, I thought I was special when I had both my 29ers before everyone decided to climb on the bandwagon.............

And about that bandwagon Thug..............

What size were the wheels on it?

I have done Epic and J2c this year

Personally I would ride Epic on a 26" Softail and J2c on a 29er

One of the things I did see is if you hit a tree stump flat out with a Niner it breaks
