With all respect to road cycling and the riders, Road racing is f**ked up!!

This nonsense of when a rider gets a puncture he will get a new wheel in seconds and he will be helped to get back into the peloton. Now in downhill racing if you get a puncture its tough luck.

On supercycling tonight i saw one of the officials drive their car into a rider and knock him into the air and injure him quite surveerly and the car sped off without any concern to the rider they just hit.

I am NOT trying to offend any riders or anybody invovled with road cycling, i am making my statement towards the way the racing happens.

More proof, I am afraid, that the drug testers really, really need to start looking at the downhill crowd. So much of 'roid rage.

Carbon wafers? I'm still trying to figure out if that concrete fence post fell in that particular spot, or if poor old Hoogie is just holding it there so his mini hoogie is not plastered all over inane interweb forums like this.

Mods is, of course, the only PC method of referring to Olds, who in their heyday might have had the foresight to bring a second wheel along for the ride; also known as the spare wheel. Or the ball and chain. AKA the girlfriend/wife. Who quickly ensured that the Mod became a Slave and that was the end of any release through repeated application of pressure to the pedals.

@Tnt1.. DUDE!!! The pic really shows just how close that "member" was to impaling the poor guy in a very unfortunate spot.

Seriously though.. I am a rescue worker by profession.. if that pole was at an angle that was 45 degrees on to his approach... DAMM!!!!!!!! Right through him!

How come The Mods haven't come wading in moaning about 'skin' shots etc?

What's wrong with 'Skin' shots?

Some of the articles are a bit on the light side, but the home improvement section must be seen to be believed....

The only correct response when challenged by this kind of question is to feign indifference and continue with the application of a skin friendly glue to ensure that the uppermost line of the Euro-pro length socks and the lowermost line of the Euro-pro bib shorts remains in place in all situations so as to ensure a continual DEEP TAN line as we ride stupid amounts of kilometers across the existential roadie divide.

Absolute respect to the man. I was lucky enough to catch the footage of him receiving the polka dot jersey.. with real tears streaming down his face.. well done to him on so many levels!

Somebody fetch the OP a new keyboard and pace him back to his thread. Looks like he may have broken it in that last flurry of font enlargement.

Think he is fixing the keyboard, the hub and sommer the interwebs all by himself wink.gif

Maybe the OP lives in Gatsonder_reception and does not know that 11 days of racing has been completed in the 2011 Tdf (Tour De France)

Wonder if his hub is a hubsonder_search_function also? Those photos have been in at least 5 threads?

Road cycling has an ethos of 'It's OK to cheat as long as you don't get caught'. It has always been like that. That's why they dope so much (and don't tell on each other). Don't know why they don't just take short cuts on the course, they might as well. But in the roadie's twisted psyche, that would be WRONG. Um, yes, principles, not sure you've heard of them.

Stick to the MTB it does seem slightly more honest.
