This thread made me think of a story:

I was at this rugby match and one of the spectators were shouting foul language at his team for playing so badly.

The guy behind me jumps up and shouts at him: "Hey hou op om so te vloek. Hier is kinders my f0k."

Twas indeed JR. I Don't see what the big deal is - he slapped the ground a few times and sulked.

stuporcycling showed 3 of the punctures and his team manageress holding Jacques trashed tyre as he tore off on his rim.

Personally I thought they showed his miffness in context and any mtber off his high and mighty horse would have understood the outburst.

Did I ever tell you about the time at Ceadle Quest when on day two the one solo competitor got over the monster with the front team, he helps them on the way down and when he tried to rode slip with them to Warthogs, the one team dude became very, very aggro, this nearly turned in to fisticuffs and all this whilst the camera was on them, fortunately that never got shown and the poor solo oke got a bit lost that day too

Jacques used to be one of SA's strongest riders about 10 years ago, then fell off the map. Glad to see he is back, but disappointed that he went on like a little bitch.

I have also lost races thanks to cut sidewalls and punctures. When you paid your entry fee you opened yourself up to the possibility that your race might not end the way you like to.

I have lost many races due to a lack of ability :D

Oh, and at least one due to a broken chain.

When you say lost, do you mean you were in contention for winning or you just didn't do as well as you had hoped?

And did you also throw a hissy fit at the end in front of the camera and your young child?

he won anyway, he should stop complaining.

He didn't complain. It is the hub bitches who are complaining. He dealt with his disappointment, albeit in a way he is probably not proud of, and has moved on. In less time, methinks, than this stupid thread has run.
