If you're in CT with your bike, there's R10 coffee and free cupcakes and stuff from most of the usual "bike coffee" places like Truth. See on the Moonlightmass facebook page. I don't know if it'll be a regular Friday thing or not.

Is it now obligatory for every coffee shop to have a rusty old dikwiel standing outside?

The locks come with a mounting bracket but the locks are too big to carry inside the frame or behind the seat.

So after a week of pondering the issue I decided to mount the bracket on the front fork.

I know that this is pointless considering how long ago you posted that. But with my U-lock, I put the mounting bracket on the seat tube and pointed it "backwards" (my bracket can turn 90deg) so in the end, the lock itself sits in the rear triangle, I then use velcro straps to keep it to the chain and seat stays to avoid contact with my foot. Will post a pic soon.

EDIT: added pic, just w/o straps.

Will drive my car to work once a week. No fan on when driving to work etc so that the battery recharges properly.

Aircon on when going home to keep it working.

...if you say are going to commute then commute you must so don't make the mistake of setting out work clothes "for just in case" cause then chances are you'll end up snoozing the alarm & driving in to work, ????

Fun reading everyone's comments...

What's I've learnt from commuting is that you can only get so wet! After that it becomes fun to try and find the puddles :D

I recently discovered that an empty truck can stop a lot quicker than you'd think!
