Judging from previous SSWC events this is not a frivolous question and one that causes as much anxiety as the ratio of the sprocket to the chainring. Flippa Posted February 15, 2012 Share OK, I've been running a 32/18 on a 26r for the past year and its been fine for most things. However, I've just upgraded to a 29r and have carried this gear ratio across. I will definitely be taking along a 19 and a 20 tooth to SSWC.
