From that angle agreed, but from the pictures and analysis above i would say the try was scored because of seeing the space.

Only reason why i asked was because just based on the analysis above was clearly showing the All Blacks reading the game and what they have available(in terms of space) and then executing and scoring

ABsolutely, a team playing well (on form) will be able to create chances, whereas a team off form will try something that is not there.

Soft tries is a myth

Wayde van Niekerk looks like he's taking a Sunday jog

But immense planning, prepping, analysis and execution goes into every step

Like the ABs with every phase of their play

Posted

It just shows how clever those AB's are and how they read the situation on the field. Something the boks have never been able to do. Why? Because we are coached into a set way of playing. Set way of attacking, set way of defending, set way of doing anything. You step out of line and do something thats not according to the coach's plan, you're in deep sh..t

this is exactly what is going on!

a good friend worked as a loose forward under AC at the stormers.

he explained how they had a plan for each phase depedning on field position and time on the clock. so a ball pops up to you and before you play whats in front of you, you need to think what you need to do (coaches plan). F*k*p

he once offloaded in a position where he wasnt suppose to and consequently the ball had been knocked on... he received an on field tongue lashing from captain JdV and put to the sword the minute he walked into the dressing room from coach AC.

How do we even expect any lions player with the usual "free flowing" style, to perform under toetie and his pre planned game!?

I also heard from a reliable source that they get fined by AC if they diverge from his gameplan. It's beyond ridiculous. They could just as well go and play gridiron football.

Wow, that's hectic! The game is so fast, how the hell do you have time to think about coach's instructions etc when you suddenly have the ball in your hands and five 100+kg okes are storming towards you!?

That, and what Moridin said about the fines, is what I most dislike about AC. Yes players should be accountable for their performances, but fining them for mistakes/penalties (there was an article about how AC introduced this at the boks) is just f*cked up. ja sure fine them (down downs), but AC actually takes $$ away from them for mistakes and silly penalties. How does that instil team unity and trust, or confidence?

We didn't have many bok coach options, but in my opinion AC was the wrong choice..

Anyways, what do you guys think about the Currie Cup? Who's gonna go through, the Sharks or Lions? I think FS, Bulls and WP are safely into the semis already

AC fines players for mistakes? Seriously? He must have made a fine profit from AJ when he knocked on in the last game. And what's the fine for kicking out on the full at the restart?

Yup. There was an article about it after the first or 2nd Ireland test I think. He said that players conceding stupid penalties will feel it in their pocket. So maybe not mistakes like knock on's, but penalties definitely

If the AB's can stick to a game plan even in the rugby championship then the Boks are also capable, but when the game plan is aged/stale and has not evolved that's the issue.

Does anyone know when this week's bok team is going to be announced?

All indications are that Faf and Jantjies will be axed from match 23. To be replaced by paige and Steyn/lambie. Goosen to be dropped too with Willie back at 15.

This week AC has again proven what an idiot he is. So he says he doesn't need Rohan jv Rensburg, he has duh duh that can do everything Rohan does. Same day he sends duh duh back to CC. He says he didn't send an SOS for help, the media imagined things. He says he's happy with his loose forward combinations and JDJ and Jesse played well as senter pairing. Oh and don't forget Marx is also back at the Lions because he missed 2 or 3 lineouts against the AB's. Nevermind he did more in general play than the captain has done all year.
