Question: What is an appropriate response to a National Cycling Federation (Not local) taking one of your images off a website and cropping out all credit information (watermarked logo) and not adding any credit to the image on their site?

It's theft of property pure and simple. If they cropped out the watermarks and stuff then it's even worse since it shows they knew exactly what they were doing. Write a letter, claim some money and see what happens.

@ Tiny - I agree, it is not at all to do with the financial aspect. It has to do with the blatant cropping of an image to remove the info without so much as even asking (and yes the team manager in question actually has my phone number!)

I have to admit, I have done that before but not for commercial gain. Photo that was taken of me during a race.

There is a difference if someone takes a photo of you during the race as opposed to someone using one of your images that is commcerially available. (im assuming this because of the watermark)

@JGR - it was an image I took, which had my logo embedded on it... so someone intentionally removed my logo and claimed ownership
