Legend....you are one..

Will pm you...what beer do you drink?

Forgot about this. You want the grinder or not?

And I have a question for the clever guys. I have struggled with milk steaming. Some days it's perfection. Soft creamy micro foam. No big bubbles. Other days I fight with the milk and unless I lift the want out the milk now and again I get no foam. The result is ugly large bubbles and non of the soft creaminess. Now I think it might be the milk. I find it easiest to steam the Ayershire full cream from woollies. The next best for me is clover. But even then somedays I just struggle. My question is could it be milk quality? Could it be something else.

I am very careful to clean the wand after every use and purge it after steaming. I always use the same jug. Steam the same quantity of milk. I try to be as consistent as possible with try technique. Any ideas anyone?

I also found the woolies milk to steam lekkerder. I found Darling Diary milk to be a hit/miss sometimes, and the same with clover. But still I buy the cheapest milk usually, as we go through a lot of the stuff.

Has anyone else found the same, and what do you use, 2%, full cream or skim? I use 2% milk.

Practice..... a LOT.... remember - what makes the foam is air sucked into the milk by the steam - so wand tip placement is often VERY specific to get it right . Get 1 big gulp of air and you are going to have a problem with too much foam and too big a bubble.

Milk is definitely a factor too - but my list of decent commercially available milk matches yours exactly - except for specific organic stuff which is hard to come by - like straight from the cow....
