Have been waiting for a rear convertor axle from Spank for months. They get sent, they disappear into the black hole of SAPO. Report back on how they go. You running an XKing up front? I think I"m going to throw in a Magic Mary and a Rock Razor (or new NN) to replace the Bronson / wolverine combo I've been running. patches 1

I think I"m going to throw in a Magic Mary and a Rock Razor (or new NN) to replace the Bronson / wolverine combo I've been running. Yeah I like the Spike rims. I have been running black Spike 28s on my AM bike for a while (laced to green straight pull green Hope Pro II EVOs). I did manage to ding the rear one, but in all fairness to the rim, it ws after a pretty hard case directly on a knuckle. That set I run with a 2.4 Nobby Nic front, and a 2.25 Nobby Nic rear (The 2.4 Nobby Nic on the rear buzzes the chainstays on my bike when I corner hard). The emerald green set pictured above is on black Superstar Trizoid hubs (so opposize colour scheme to my AM set). X-Kings may seem a little light duty, but this wheelset is on a 4X/jump bike so I was going for a hardpack friendly tire with a low rolling resistance. My 3rd and final set of Spank Spikes are the big boys (the 35s in white), laced to red Hope Pro II's, and running 2.5 Muddy Marys. I have been running that set of wheels on my DH bikes for nearly 5 years and they are still as true as the day they were built. So yeah, all in all one could say I'm a fan of Spank rims. T-Bob 1
