huh? I've always said its dirty. long before it was cool to call lance a doper? whats your point?

I have also always suspected that it was happening and that is why this entire Lance saga is not a big surprise. From the general reaction of the public i get the feeling people actually thought it was totally pure and thats why the distraught. I just can't see people, especially cyclists, being so naive.

I just asked because i see your strong opinion about Lance. If you suspected it then why the harsh reaction? Im not intending anything personal here

no offense taken :)

nah flip - i've been blowing the doping trumpet for ages. I've always strongly believed that they havent been clean - this certainly comes as no suprise. I think the main difference between LA and the rest of his cohorts, is with most cyclists, it was just doping. They did the bare minimum to make sure they were competetive or winning.

Lance took it further - if you suggested he was cheating, he ruined your life, career, etc. I cant think of any other sportspeople who had such a high horse while still being so unbelievably guilty

Yeah. I think LA is a true sociopath.

The thing is his PR machine was/is so strong that he created a religion around himself and any naysayers get shouted down as if in the middle ages and accused of blasphemy.

Sorry oke. I know I did that to you when I was a Lance disciple.

So, looks like Lance may use the Oprah show to "come clean". Bicycling's Joe Lindsey posed this:

joelindsey@joelindsey

I am trying to anticipate some of "no holds barred" questions in Oprah's Lance interview. How about some suggestions?#questionsforlance

I gave him mine…

joelindsey@joelindsey

Always start with the softball questions. RT @BarryMcCallum So, Lance, how do you like them apples now? #questionsforlance

What would you ask him?

But really, on Oprah? Cycling really has turned into this type of rubbish

Don't you think the Jerry Springer format would be better? We could have a real battle of the boys spitting biting and scratching while the big bald dude pulls them apart and Jerry stands and smirks.

i doubt it. His income streams are drying up, so this is pretty much all he can do. I'm pretty sure nothing will come of it

Of course. Oprah is a soft sell. Do you think she'll ask any hard questions? Marion Jones lied through her teeth on her show. Lance will do the same.

Somehow, I doubt this is about income. He doesn't want for much. Other than to be in spotlight again. He wants to be seen as the victim in this. Oprah is good at providing that.

"No holds barred" they say...

Oprah Winfrey will speak exclusively with Lance Armstrong in his first no-holds-barred interview. Armstrong will address the alleged doping scandal, years of accusations of cheating, and charges of lying about the use of performance-enhancing drugs throughout his storied cycling career.

Personally, I would admit to anything if Oprah is the questioner. Just the idea of that show of hers scares the living dingles out of me. I'll even admit that I believe Lance is totally innocent and never doped, if it will get me out of there and away from Oprah.wink.png

He is going for public sympathy and she is going for viewers ratings. Convenient.whistling.gif

The way he has been doing things over the last couple of years, I dont think he will come clean 100%.
