I agree, at least now everybody can see how bad he is. The nice guy image was just for the money.

His option for a political career is now down the drain. There were guys like him before in politics, most recent one was called Adolf......

Some of the people who were mercilessly bullied & intimidated by LA over the years (some even had their lives destroyed by him) might finally be seeing the end of the nightmare.

It was eye-opening to me reading about what he put people like Betsy Andreu through, poor lady.

Over the last couple of years we've heard talk here and there that LA is not a very nice chappie, but I did not realise until now what a piece of work he really is as a human being. I mean, the things it seem he's done to people purely out of viscous spite - and an almost obsessive need to dominate - has been the main cause of my change in feelings from admiration and respect to anger and disgust.

and here i am finding poor Betsy Andreu to be a real busy body who jumped at the oppertunity to get her name in the media

This whole thing is like a siht storm gone out of control! The fallout is going to reach much further and wider than I thought at first. Amazing how everyone is now confessing like it is going out of fasion. In the short term it is going to cause serious damage to cycling, scaring sponsors off and reducing TV audiences, but in the long term a good bit of cleansing can only be good for the sport.

Did you read what Pevenage had to say about Strongarm and his entourage?

I understand Lefty's point, people always advocate its not what you know its what you can proof. So I cant understand how they can strip his titles if they dont have proof. If they can do it without proof then i'm also misinformed and dont know how they can do it. I have not read much about this topic, just started the book "the secret race" maybe when i'm done i will have a better understanding.

The proof is there in black and white over 200 pages of direct witness testimony. Please do us a favour and read it before you comment further about needing proof. The case is proved. He doped.

Pharmstrong is going to be a difficult case. First someone has to actually find him guilty and not have official bodies publish novels under different titles.

What happens going forward depends on the UCI. With another ex USPS rider coming forward and claiming he also doped the noose is getting tighter but unless Armstrong confesses to doping there no real proof. Just anecdotes

Has Rip van Winkel resurfaced?

Gansta?

Here is the translated version:
Dusseldorf (Reuters) - In the opinion of the former telecom sporting director Rudy Pevenage Jan Ullrich has resulted in his cycling career an unequal struggle against Lance Armstrong.

Edit: copy and paste from German did not work.

I agree with you on the weight of evidence of him doping (and I'm too chicken to try and defend him ;) ), but those testimonies were never tested under cross examination in a court of law. Only once that happen will it be accepted as proof (legally). That may well be exactly what Mr LA avoided by throwing in the towel when he did. This mess will most likely never be cleaned up completely.

It seems somebody gets it without having to resort to name calling.

Hence the UCi refering the report to their legal team and not commenting on it till they have a legal view.

I suspect the USADA knows this may be a dead end but the trial by media will be damaging enough

the "case is not proved" that he doped. There is heresay testimony that he allegedly said he did etc etc.

Personally I don't think he doped, he didnt need to; all that he had to do was make sure his helpers did. I have said this previously on a different thread; that the main difference between Lance and his rivals was his team. They destroyed every-one before the finale and he was good enough to finish it off. Ask yourself this; how many of his team won or top 10'd in stages during his 7 wins; 2 - maybe 3 aside from TTT's. How many tested positive after leaving USPS/Discovery? Quite a few. He/JB could in theory lower the risk of exposure by keeping the helpers from winning thereby lessening the chance of a positive test. That is also why he can claim his conscience is clear that he never doped. Take note of what he's not saying. Just my 2.5c

The UCI referring it to their legal could just as well be so as to see how it affects their own ineptitude in the context of the report.

That and what could be the ramifications in the legal action brought against Kimmage.

Damn those conflicts of interest eh.

Things are far from cut and dry for anyone in this.

Words fail.

Because I don't agree with you?

I have stated my personal opinion (as have a few other hubbers) and a fact of life is that opinions vary on every topic under the sun. I could be wrong...you could be wrong...so what? Only time will tell.

You seem to have a total disregard for other people's opinion if it does not tie in with yours and I suggest you grow up and mellow the **** out; life's to short for such ****.
