Nope, Easton EA70 XCT's...

mmmm dunno that set so well, we had issues with a set of AM classics race. The tyre just refused to seat....floor pump, compressor, bomb used stan's, joe's, some other thicker blue sealant...nada. Eventually swopped it out for a geax, first try it went on no issues, and is still running perfectly after sani and some races. That same tyre fits like a dream on my crests though. The rim profile of the stan's set seemed to hug the tyre a bit better.

I tend to agree - Thinking Conti Race king rear and Conti Mountain king front...

riding the same combo...haven't had any problems for 4 years

As a general rule OEM spec tyres should be given the boot to a dusty corner as a spare for emergencies. Serias ...

I agree

Using RR Snakeskin, on stans ZTR crets tubeless, front and rear. Had no hassles.

Love them, grippy, fast but...... not long lasting.

Used Racing Ralph's with tubes and also converted to tubeless for a few years, never had a problem, BUT tried Rocket Rons once and wont go back to the Ralph's in a rush. RRons have got much better grip BUT the centre knobs do tend to wear out quite quick.

Never had a sidewall puncture or problem with Rons, BUT then i think the thorns are smaller and the rocks less sharp in my part of the planet.

Schwable have different versions of the Ralph and Ron, some are lightweight and some are heavier. No matter what make of tyre you have if its light weight it means less rubber which generally means less sidewall material and more susceptible to punctures.

Cav , those are the KAKEST tyres ever!! i rode mine once at Groenies too ( and only once ) , they dont corner they dont do any thing , i would not even give mine to the dog to play with !!

the best tire for the dale is Ritchey WCS and you about the same build as me , 1.9 to 2.0 bar works so well with these.

This tread pattern looks almost identical to the Conti Race King, with some minor differences ofcourse

Tyres can be discussed till everyone is blue in the face. X, Y and Z all has different opinions on the same tyre.

I have heard a rumour that the OEM tyres on new bikes are not of the same quality as retail tyres. Apperently a cost issues and for weight purposes. Whats the first thing everyone does when shopping for bikes - they weigh them. So the rumour is that the bike companies put thinner lighter tyres on to ensure the bike attaines its claimed weight.

i had Schwalbe on front and back, walls were extremely thin, converted to tubeless race king rear and mountain king front havent looked back

How much thicker are those sidewalls on the tubeless race kings....and owmuch heavier?

They are quit thik and a bit heavier, but the best is to weigh the tyre at the lbs, the x-king protection 29 2.2 i bought has a claimed weight of 760grams but on the scale they are 680.

I have run an EVO RR on both my bikes front, tubeless, with no issues with either bike for 2 years.

Done 3 Magalies Monsters, 2 Sani's, 2 years of good racing and never needed to even use a BOM in training or racing on them. Its also run at 1.4 bar to 1.6 bar, its whole life with no issues. Rear has run 1.6 to 1.8, no issues.

The rear, has had a few, but due to the soft compound, not to poor carcass. I have run GEAX Saguaro but they so heavy, when you swop them out your bike floats. The GEAX run very had compound rubber, to hardpack grip is poor, but they last forever.
