Following the very vibrant forums on cyclingnews, the sentiments there are very similar.

"Sky is boring".

"UK Postal..."

"Scientific approach"

I hate the way that every single year, everyone bitches and moans about how boring the tour is. Maybe you should watch WWE or desperate house wives.

The Desperate Wags of Sky did provide some entertainment… :w00t:

Had hoped that cuddles would do as he promised - attack in the mountains but that now seems like pie in the sky, (pun not intended). Had it not been for teamorders and Froome being in the same team I doubt if nigly Wiggi would have had the advantage which he currently enjoys. I agree, whether it be Armstrong or Contador - they would have led an attack notwithstanding their lead.

I think wiggo could have done himself a helluva lot of good pr if he counter attacked nibali yesterday. instead he just pulled back up to his wheel and slotted in.

If he had got to the col peyrasourde even 2m ahead of froome and nibali, then there wouldn't be all this 'is the froomedog better?' talk.

The irony, is that by not attacking he's actually sort of keeping it interesting. Imagine if he had a 5min lead by now?

edit:got my mountain passes mixed up

Yeah. I used to love the Armstrong formula, whether in yellow or not, first proper mountain stage, he'd go off the front and lay down a marker. Epic.

I think Wiggins deserves the win. I don't really like the guy, but there has been no one to challenge him apart from his own team mate.

I'm finding the GC race slightly boring. I know Wiggins doesn't have to, but I'd love to see HIM throwing an attack and laying it down a bit. I'm not going to go into Armstrong and doping and whatnot, but at least Armstrong while in yellow, still attacked off the front. Wiggins just sits pretty. It'll get the job done, but its boring.

It worked for his school boy hero.

here's his trashtalk leading into the tour:

Despite lacking the results of 2011 therefore, Evans is optimistic that his preparation for his big target for the year, the defence of his Tour crown, is right on track.

“I feel good, do not worry about me!” he laughed. “My shape is good even if it is not as good as last year. In terms of my scheduled preparation for the Tour de France, I don’t think there's any problems or have any concerns. I did not get a result on this Tour de Romandie but, on the other hand, we did a good job in preparation for the Tour de France; and that’s important.”

I think the problem why this TDF is a bit boring is that it is so close to the Olympics. All the sprinting teams seam like they don't want to chase brakeaways. The GC guys just want to do the minimum, it seams the top three are just happy to be where they are the only two people with some balls is Sagan and Voeckler.
