Benjamin Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 well...for superrugby i have been voting with my heart and my sharks haven't let me down so far...so i will continue that trend...+1The Super 15 trophy, Olympic 200 fly gold, Olympic XC gold and Masterchef SA all on the East Coast. Happy days.
Wyatt Earp Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 Also 100% behind Burry but damn, unless the others are 'sand bagging', Nino was motoring at this past weekends XC WC round - think he'll be hard to beat! The nice/not so nice thing with these sportsman is how they play the wounded bear game.If I was Nino, I would have sat back a bit before my Olympic onslaught, I reckon his over zealous hunger to try and show him as the dominant force in MTB this year might just backfire at the Olympics.
kosmonooit Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 (edited) Nino will get gold for schure, barring bad luck. But here's hoping Burry will get a medal. Abasalon looks likely to get a medal as well. Edited August 1, 2012 by kosmonooit

DJ84 Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 How will the seeding work? Will the top couple ranked riders start in the front or is it MX style start(everyone in a row). I want Burry to win,But Nino just has something else.He has hurt everyone this year and has led most of the races he has been in from start to finish.

Where as absolon seems quite happy to stand back and observe. Â but speaking of dominance, good thing only three riders per country. Switzerland have 8 guys in the top 20 final WC standings. EIGHT! that's almost like the kenyan marathon team.
Wyatt Earp Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 How will the seeding work? Will the top couple ranked riders start in the front or is it MX style start(everyone in a row).  From what I understand, according to rankings.
Brian Fantana Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 I really hope Burry brings home the gold. Nino is in good form, but anything can happen at the olympics. On the day guys like Manuel Fumic, Marco Fontana and Josè Hermida can cause an upset. By the way, anyone with a link describing the XCO course for the olympics?
dracs Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 It should be Nino but if anyone can beat him, I reckon its Burry! (and Burry is definately due to some luck)
DJ84 Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 It is going to be an interesting race, think the top couple will be tight for most the race. As far as i have heard it is a fast track with small tough climbs and a couple rock gardens. Not gonna miss it for anything!
Brian Fantana Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 Here is a cool video of the course:Â http://www.bikeradar.com/mtb/news/article/2012-london-olympic-mountain-bike-course-improved--33642/Â It looks like some sections will be ridiculously fast.
Bos Posted August 2, 2012 Posted August 2, 2012 Me thinks you're onto something there, will be good to watch Zackery , thus i rate Nino 3rd . All I have learnt In this years tour is that when Wiggo was favourite, and winning everything, he kept winning everything..Ofcourse we can hope Im wrong..and one of a milion things could go wrong for Nino, but Im afraid If it doesnt he looked stronger then Burry when they have been head to head..
