Start by checking your chainring bolts are tight. The click might even be in the pedals. If not then inspect BB. Is it rough or stiff when you turn the cranks? Sometimes it can just be a bit of dirt in the threads. If the bike is dual sus you may have a loose or stuffed pivot/bearing.

Ahh the dreaded clicking noise

I had a clicking sound once which I thought was coming from the BB

After extensive investigation (read many hours of looking down and trying to trace origin of click while riding) and some unnecessary parts replacement (BB bearings) never found out what it was but the last thing I did was tighten my cluster and then the noise disappeared.

Somethings to check before fiddling with the BB:

Pedals / shoe cleats – lubricate the cleat / shoe interface.

Check pedals rotate freely and have no excessive free play

Seat post – remove, clean and lube – Only needs to be done if the click is NOT present when standing and pedalling.

Seat rails – clean, same as above

Tighten chain ring bolts

Check handle bar / stem clamping bolts are tight

Most likely your wrist.

Could also be your watch if you are left handed.

I agree could be your wrist. You should stretch before any stroking. You could end up with carpal tunnel syndrome.

I was going to say a faulty spring. If you have a foam matress however I would turn may attention to the base.
