if a thread is deleted/blocked etc due to legitimate reasons, it would be nice to be able to got to somewhere on the site and see if it actually has and what the reason for blocking it was

Agreed - great idea.

 

In cases where a thread is locked we'll leave a message explaining the actions.

Deleted threads unfortunately don't allow any message to be left and for those browsing them vanishing can be a little annoying.

 

I'll chat to the mod team and set up a dedicated thread / section where a notice of any removed threads with reasons will be posted.

Oh, and in the process of moving this particular thread from rant and rave, I accidentally moved it to an area that Matt assures me it is technically impossible to move it to, that's why it momentarily disappeared as well.

Also, to keep THAT on topic, make it so that ONLY admin/mods/managers can post, but it is viewable by members!
