Picked my number up this afternoon, start area is taking shape and quite a number of caravans and tents pitched already.

Mud bath today, challenging but fun. Bike and shoes. Struggled with the cleats clogged with mud so swapped the spd bike pedals for flat pedals.

First of all... thanks to Wendell and his team for the event.

Secondly... I need to reassess my bike handling skills, that mud was insane - although I managed to stay upright for every revolution of the cranks.

Thirdly... I survived the "extreme" conditions, but not sure about the bike

 

September 2013, looking forward to riding Thaba for 24 hours!!!
