I mentioned it last year on this forum, she must have read it, actually I know exactly who led her there.

Saw that she visited my profile ,the very same day any form of contact and correspondence was cut off.

I am sorry , but the kid needs to pressure.

He is a really awesome person with the utmost respect for every person he comes in to contact with.

Right now he has a world of pressure on him too.

Does he dope, has he ever doped, we are talking about a guy who wouldn't even drink coffee or have food with preservaitves.

He is a Bike Pure advocate for a reason.

He trains harder than 99 % of he cyclists on this planet, plain and simple, the man has talent and hunger.

This is the last crud he needs.

What was the outcome of that Bike Pure spat?

No spin doctors here, he trains, and he trains damn hard, I will attest to that.

and we are all hoping that that is why he is doing so well. I am not a CF "fan" but hope it is all clean and above board.

May the best man win!

One of those doing their best to take shots at Froome is Paul Kimmage, check this video out where he tries his level best to get Frankie Andreu to jump on the bandwagon - but Frankie is not biting. Quite funny actually - and rates an 8.5 on the awkward-ometer at the end...

Go Frankie

It also seems like Kimmage has fallen out with Walsh over Sky and how the latter seems to be embedded. Many over the weekend had peppered him with queries about Froome's performance.

There is so much bloody politics ,it's just not funny.

Just now we will have another Hamiltonish suggestion of planted blood bags.

One thing I will say, having a platform, being controversial and voicing ones opinion on something like twitter, can mae a celebrity out of a pretty obscure unknown person.

Yes Walsh's perceived "going over to the other side" has meant he is no longer the darling of the twitter lynch mob

Its quite interesting though - what seemed a homogenous group when the sole target was LA are now proving to be quite diverse and there are some who to me it seems really have the best interests of the sport at hand, and there are others that are hell bent on throwing rocks at anything Sky related as if they really are UK Postal. A guy like Race radio who to be honest I used to think was blinded by his obsession with LA is proving to be quite fair.

Anyway I find it more telling what the likes of Miller have to say on Froome than those dismissing Walsh.

Ja, the sport reportage scene has amused me for many years. About 15 years ago, I was first exposed to sports journalism when I helped edit the sports pages of two weekend papers. There were a lot of writers who acted like prima donnas. The problem is becoming one where a lot of journos see themselves as part of the story or even "above" the stories they cover. Social media has a lot to answer for.

Both Kimmage and Walsh have been the crusaders of the anti-dope movement, and while I respect the work they have done, I think the clamouring to be seen as THE doyen of the anti-dope crowd is unseemly. Walsh is not the real guilty party in this. He is very keen to engage; to listen as well as be heard.

There is, however, a problem when someone is said to have been given free access to a team, then conditions imposed on that access, as seems to be the case with Sky.

TW I wonder if Kimmage & Walsh are still relevant? There is so much information out there, granted theres loads of nonsense but there is also loads of very accurate information.

Great point. Both of them are print romantics (I am too!), and got on the digital platform late into the game. There are a decent number of online reporters, bloggers, etc who seem to have replaced them in terms of relevance.

if you're a suspected cyclist then you're a professional doper, that's just how it works. or did i get it wrong?

OCCUPATIONAL HAZARD, deal with it.

There's only one way to keep the naysayers at bay, and that's to go slower. It would actually be pretty cool if people accused me of doping, sign of a compliment really! I think that froomedawg is maybe a little bit different here because of his bilharzia. is it a case of whatever doesn't kill you only makes you stronger?

I do think it's damn interesting that his performance on saturday does fly in the wind of what Dr Ross Tucker has been highlighting these past few years...6.4 W/Kg is too high not to be suspicious. I'm a huge fan of his work, he's the Bill Bryson of sports science in my mind. I think his integrity is a bit on the line here...because he's now had to either retract earlier statements or say that by association Froome's performance leads to intense specualtion.

He's juggling this one so far, i think he's quite a froomfan!...

Yea 2 big ego's there - and lots of me me me in both their reporting TBH!

I hear you on the embedding thing but on the other hand Sky has no obligation to offer someone the level of access they have given Walsh - and he is free to reject this if he believes it compromises his ability t report accurately. You can then as a reader chose to take his opinions on sky at face value or not depending on your assessment of the man. I have no reason to believe that he has suddenly lost his integrity...

Anyway, we digress - Go Froomedog!
