She's just so impressed with the thing. Her first comment was how much easier it rides than her Anthem. Obviously you can't compare the two bikes, but I'd be interested to hear your views comparing your Reign to the Tracer.

Can't wait. The fork and shock that I have on my Reign currently are going to be built across so it should actually be a pretty good comparison. The only stuff that is changing is the gearbox. And the frame obviously. I like the Reign but I don't love it (if that makes sense) It's not the way it rides or anything. That's great. It's just not special enough to get my heart racing. Lately on the reign I've been leaving the pro pedal switch on even in whilst going down. I just like the trail feedback. I spose it's a function of riding my Turner which gives loads of feedback from the trail.

I've had many bikes over the years (Trek, gary fisher, GT, Giant etc etc) and i always ended up selling them after max 1.5 years. Now for the 1st time with the Intense I've found a bike which I honestly just don't wanna let go, even though it's all scuffed and banged up after 3 years. It's just such a good bike. I guess it makes me smile more than all the other bikes.

But I love my bike. Can see it lasting till it breaks, and I'll be uber sad if there isn't a replacement frame in stock.

DubbelBuys Posted December 4, 2013 Share Haha. I've already bought an Intense frame and I went and saw that. Which tracer frame did you get? On a side note: I can get a barely ridden 2013 Giant Reign 1 (not X) with reverb dropper post for a mere R16000. As much as I want to opt for a Nukeproof frame, the Reign just makes more sense to me for the price. Any comments? deviate

On the Reign thing. I think that 16k for that bike is a deal of note. In my opinion Giants in general are the best bang for buck bikes money can buy. And they've just got the internal post but in 80mm travel!! I told the guy from giant it's just aswell they didn't make one! All he said was "ouch". But seriously...... Huh.
