Three words for you Oh Mega..... VPP...... case caaaloooosed. Now stop effing around and build that damnTracer.

I will when I get back. I'm in Zim earning the Dahlah I need to pay for the thing. I've ordered everything I need to get her up and running so hopefully by the end of next week she'll be rolling.

Coolios. Took my girlfriend for her 2nd ride on her new Tracer over the weekend. She's just so impressed with the thing. Her first comment was how much easier it rides than her Anthem. Obviously you can't compare the two bikes, but I'd be interested to hear your views comparing your Reign to the Tracer.

Yeah. Can't wait. The fork and shock that I have on my Reign currently are going to be built across so it should actually be a pretty good comparison. The only stuff that is changing is the gearbox. And the frame obviously.

I like the Reign but I don't love it (if that makes sense) It's not the way it rides or anything. That's great. It's just not special enough to get my heart racing. Lately on the reign I've been leaving the pro pedal switch on even in whilst going down. I just like the trail feedback. I spose it's a function of riding my Turner which gives loads of feedback from the trail.

I know exactly what you mean. I've had many bikes over the years (Trek, gary fisher, GT, Giant etc etc) and i always ended up selling them after max 1.5 years. Now for the 1st time with the Intense I've found a bike which I honestly just don't wanna let go, even though it's all scuffed and banged up after 3 years. It's just such a good bike. I guess it makes me smile more than all the other bikes.

Just shows the difference in preferences. I love my reign x. Maybe it's just cos I'm a bigger oke and it suits me better, I dunno. But I love my bike. Can see it lasting till it breaks, and I'll be uber sad if there isn't a replacement frame in stock.

Hehe. Imagine how boring the world would be if everyone rode the same bike.

Ja it's a great bike for sure. not dissing the Reign at all. But like JP (not recycles JP) says. I like odd stuff.

Haha. I've already bought an Intense frame and I went and saw that.

Which tracer frame did you get?

On a side note:

I can get a barely ridden 2013 Giant Reign 1 (not X) with reverb dropper post for a mere R16000.

As much as I want to opt for a Nukeproof frame, the Reign just makes more sense to me for the price.

Any comments?

I got the 26 inch tracer. It's not a Tracer ll hence the ridiculous price.

On the Reign thing. I think that 16k for that bike is a deal of note. In my opinion Giants in general are the best bang for buck bikes money can buy.

The only thing I find bizarre are their dropper posts. 100mm travel on external. And they've just got the internal post but in 80mm travel!! I told the guy from giant it's just aswell they didn't make one! All he said was "ouch". But seriously...... Huh.
