Iwan Kemp Posted January 27, 2014 Share http://ep1.pinkbike.org/p5pb10547474/p5pb10547474.jpg http://www.pinkbike.com/news/Randoms-Core-Bike-2014.html "Mojo's Chris Porter wins the award for the wildest trail bike we have ever seen. He's well-known for having strong opinions on how bikes should be built and setup, and decided to go to Nicolai to have a bike made to his precise requirements. This is based on their Ion 16, 160mm travel bike, but is a long way from stock, with that slack, slack headangle, ultra-low BB and lengthened chainstays. Even the position of the linkage appears to be altered. It's definitely not a bike for the faint-hearted, but we're dying to know what this feels like if you point it down a trail..." Iwan Kemp Posted February 12, 2014 Share Hi Crow I mean Iwan. That is a way different design for Ibis. Why would they've changed their iconic design? Keeping up with the times? The Ripley is the first, and so far only, 29er in their range. The Mojo's design will stay true what it has been since it's re-introduction in 2005. But those lines and design would not have worked with the challenges 29ers and the Ripley's intended market pose. Bike was three years in the making which was mainly around getting the DW to it's best giving the challenges. Mr DW set about finding a solution and came up with the Ripley's composite eccentric linkage system. So far it's only earned rave reviews.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FkKcizm4KVo But the Mojo as we know it will be around for another good couple of years.http://reviews.mtbr.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/01/Ibis_Mojo_HDR_650_FLcover.jpg Edited February 12, 2014 by Iwan Kemp
