New CX Bikepost-2565-0-48185800-1397634875_thumb.jpg i have just finished building.

Deng Fu Frame - CX Specific plus stem

Black Spade Carbon 29er rims.

So this has lots of Chinese Carbon on it.

All naked.

This rides like a dream and i am very happy. The frame is well designed and looks very well made. I cannot say for certain about reliability yet, but i think it is a great bike and i am very happy.

WRT another string and the fake pinarellos and having them painted, a mate sent me this link - www.oem-carbon.com

They look like they have everything and anything the heart could desire in factory colour schemes.

Wow….very sexy!.. see your ahead of us with the disc brakes… rest of us should follow in a few years !! Great looking machine mate!!

dont know if you know anything,

I felt a momsem frame yesterday, close to the bottle cage on the downtube, you could actually press with your thumb and almost see the frame give a bit. this bike was superliite.

I'll be a bit worried that it may break at any givin moment.

The question was about fake Pinarello frames. there have been many articles where they have been dissected to see how they are built, with lots of fibreglass found.

Maybe I don't know anything though...

my comment of the ride: felt very very fast on flats versus my 26er. climbing was ok considering i just got back to the saddle, i even manage to stand up to pedal going up hill climbs. maybe rigid fork and weight also helped. gearing and shift was very good. drive train was not noisy.

didnt mean it in a way that you dont know anything, more in a way of maybe you know something that we dont, youve had first hand experience with these frames.

Coz when I felt that momsen frame, the first thing that came to my mind was that it was fibreglass.

the bike was seriously light.

It is indeed, and giving me ideas that will probably see me divorced....

Hmmm

You seem to have some knowledge. The rigid fork, how harsh a ride is it?

I have tried riding with my standard fork locked out and it is a rough ride, will the carbon rigid have a bit more "give" to give a smoother ride?

Posted

The reason why I love my FR-211 build so much is because it is ALL custom and as light as possible. Its not just another scott or giant or whatever. people notice it and its sexy and completely one of a kind. But the best is when skeptics check it out and diss the blank frame etc and then you pass them in the race and they cant keep up.

My FM098 frame has finally arrived :w00t: . Will post pics once built.

Big thanks  to Meezo for the assistance and taking all my questions!

You owe me pictures buddy!

Don't think you can compare, I've tried it on my suspension fork. The rigid feels much more plush. But I'm riding the onOne carbon forks. Which has a bit flex.

Look a rigid fork is definitely not suspension, but there is flex.... and you get used to, i did!
