Looking for a new enduro lid, besides the Fox helmets what other lids are available on SA shelves and where?

Tread mag leads me to believe the Bell Super will be here in December, If this is true I might just hang on a month or two for it.

What lids would you guys suggest? I have been using Bell Slant and Sequence lids up until now but every time I have a little spill I crack the darn things!

I've also been looking for a new helmet to replace my Giro Xar

Looking at

IXS Trail RS

MET Parabellum

Cat Leaf

Of which only the Leaf is available in SA... and very good price, but IXS Trail would be my first choice. International Bike trade should be importing them according to IXS website, but havent seen any for sale yet

Have been looking at the following on CRC:

Met Terra (looks like the same construction as the Bell I keen cracking)

Urge Endur-o-matic flash (fits the wallet and looks stronger)

POC Trabec (way out of budget nut DAAYMN! looks sick!)

If you're going to ride the same bike as Jerome does for Enduro, why not run the same helmet (MET Terra)?!

But yeah, out of the 2 trail lids I have (Fox Flux and MET Terra), the Terra gets my vote. That said, I have fallen quite hard on my head with the Flux and it was fine.

But the Terra is nice and light (292g), well vented, and pretty darn tough. It was designed as an AM lid, not an XC lid so should hold up fine.

Failing that... just learn to stop falling on your head ;)

I have had a chat with Omnico this morning. They will be receiving a shipment of Bell Super's at the end of this month. Since the crash replacement warranty on my Bell Sequence covers half the cost of the Super I have "pre-ordered" one.

Lekker!!!!!!

Manitou are far better than the general riding population give them credit for, had two of their forks before and they have all had a good feel, been reliable and light / stiff.
