Spinnekop Posted July 16, 2013 Posted July 16, 2013 How different are they to the old shimano 'bio pace' oval chainrings of the 80's? http://4.bp.blogspot..._c1b3567bf6.jpg Various articles on the web. From what I read, you only get a noticeable advantage when the rings are WAY osymetric like those Wiggo rode last year. http://www.competitivecyclist.com/whats-new/the-curious-case-of-osymetric-chainrings.415.html
tombeej Posted July 16, 2013 Posted July 16, 2013 Andy Schlek having another 'mare todayThe lantern rouge beckons....
Pure Savage Posted July 16, 2013 Posted July 16, 2013 I think I saw Froome laugh when contador tried to attack.. And then he just waited for Porte to reel contador in.
HappyMartin Posted July 16, 2013 Posted July 16, 2013 Ritchie Porte gets popped then rides back! Wish I could do that. He gets my nomination for loads of guts today. Meezo 1
T-Bob Posted July 16, 2013 Posted July 16, 2013   no idea - i didnt ride much bike in the 80's  Let me repost that... 'That shimano made from the late 80's through to the late 90's.' I never found out because I only rode c-record and egg rings were not for the Italians. Shimano was for Americans and other commoners.
SyncSA Posted July 16, 2013 Posted July 16, 2013 Poor Cuddles. He is really struggling... Had to leave as the the Yellow Jersey group reached the summit - did all of them stay together to the finish? Changes in top 10? Please?
urbanroyal Posted July 16, 2013 Posted July 16, 2013 The TDF anthem ...can it be downloaded somewhere ...wanna use it as my ringtone ... :-)
Hilton. Posted July 16, 2013 Posted July 16, 2013 Great words from Froome in the interview about the incredible work done by Porte. You couldn't ask for a better teammate.
Spark Posted July 16, 2013 Posted July 16, 2013 Â Â His cadence really stood out. While Porte was still in front of him, they mentioned he was still in a lower gear compared to the others. kill me. Froome's a doper!
Cippo Posted July 16, 2013 Posted July 16, 2013 The TDF anthem ...can it be downloaded somewhere ...wanna use it as my ringtone ... :-)Â I know the comissaires car horn sounds are in App store.
Agteros Posted July 16, 2013 Posted July 16, 2013 kill me. Froome's a doper! The above = opinion.Below = factkill me. You are opiniated and without fact Bonus and EZRider 2
Spark Posted July 16, 2013 Posted July 16, 2013 Ok , a bit too harsh. But , it looks too good to be for real. The fact is, his times are as good as the "doped" LA. What kind of rider was Froome 3 years ago? John Lee Augustyn was better than Froome!
shaper Posted July 16, 2013 Posted July 16, 2013 (edited) Ok , a bit too harsh. But , it looks too good to be for real. The fact is, his times are as good as the "doped" LA. What kind of rider was Froome 3 years ago? John Lee Augustyn was better than Froome! You still have no facts apart from your opinion and also have no idea what the training regime has been over the last 3 years, let alone the amount of testing that Froom has undergone prior and during this tour. As has been said before, Froom and sky have a bad day and they have cracked and failed, have a good day and beat the rest, they are dopers!! So as stated, you are opinionated and without fact Edited July 16, 2013 by shaper WhuYu 1
