IS IT ME OR IS THIS THREAD MUCH SLOWER THAN LAST JOBERG2C OR IS IT JUST BECAUSE I AM NOT DOING IT

TO ME IT FEELS LIKE THERE IS A LOT LESS INTEREST THIS YEAR,does anyone have the numbers of entrants

It's just because you are not doing it... end of discussion.

I have FOMO.........but I'm not keen to navigate or buy a new Garmin. Does seem quiet

I would love to do it again solo but the costs are getting insane. I would do it as a team but I'd like my own tent.

I think Wappo and the boys have been to a few braais with Kevin Vermaak and thrown some figures around the fire with lots of beer.

Navigation is not going to be an issue IMO. You'll have riders around you and/or you'll follow tyre tracks and your GPS will beep at you when you go off course. It's not like reading a map & using a compass.

In the context of what we all spend on annual maintenance / upgrades on our bikes, the price of a GPS which will last you for many, many years is actually very little.

I've got Epic FOMO and looking forward to J2C this year is the best antidote.

LOL

NO ONE WANTS TO SHARE A TENT WITH A GAS GENERATOR AS YOURSELF

AND I THINK THEY BEEN USING WHITE WATER NOT BEER, THE TYPE OF STUFF THE RUSSIANS USE

First time J2c for me this year solo

Hope it goes well. Easy to hook up with riders of equal skill/pace and likewise in the evenings for the social side.

Good to have your own tent.

Enjoy

Less than 4 weeks to start. Time to fine tune the engines and think about easing back on the 16 hour plus weeks soon. Really looking forward to this one.
