What TV shows are you watching?

Stretch, I watched S1 of WD and... I think that was my last. It's been coming for some time now, but it's really now getting more human-human and the walkers are becoming a part of the decor. BTW, that ep is not for the squeamish... 

 

But - obviously there are people who would prefer it that way. If I wanted to watch human drama and piffing contests I'd have watched Grey's Anatomy.

yeah..I agree - I thought the last Season was pretty dull...I think I commented on here how it was 15 3/4 episodes of dullness and then a little cliffhanger to keep us waiting for the next season...and then there was that whole Glenn surviving crud.....but...I will watch again...and I guess that is how they keep their ratings...considering that Season 8 has already been approved

Stretch, thanks for recommending Halt and Catch Fire. Watched season 1 and it's pretty good. My only gripe with the show is there are often these jumps in time, which aren't clearly explained. Will start with season 2 tonight.

 

Also watched the season premiere of TWD.  It's eye-popping entertainment.

cool - S02 is not nearly as good as S01 ...but S03 is excellent

 

with regard to the time gaps..I think you have to keep an eye on the technology used which gives pointers on the the timeline..or they show a date somewhere surreptitiously

how is it? i piled it up with the intent of a bingefest, but i couldn't move past the first few eps, but no fault of the show. I think netflix stuff got in the way

3 Episodes in on season 2 and its a bit drab. Will keep on to season 3.

Finally caught up with Chicago Fire this weekend. Only discovered it recently but now it's one of my favourite dramas (and I'm not a big drama fan). Would rate it right up there with West Wing for entertainment value. Normally I prefer my dramas with a bit more humour and action like Justified, The Newsroom or Banshee, but watching a show about firefighters is refreshing after the dozens of cop hows, law shows and doctor shows.

Marvels' SHIELD has now become my favourite superhero show thanks to GhostRider, after I nearly stopped watching it when I became bored with the interminable Inhumans arc that just kept dragging on and on during the previous season. Still can't be bothered with watching Arrow again and Supergirl and Legends of Tomorrow I dropped long ago. Still giving The Flash a chance simply because I do not want to lose track of the DC TV universe completely and of the lot I enjoy the Flash the most.

Westworld is still the show that is blowing me away the most with its writing and the high standard of acting and character development. Lucifer is pretty cool for a laugh and I am enjoying the Lethal Weapon series so far. Quite enjoying the new mix of characters in NCIS but I have to wonder how long they can still keep going with the same (admittedly very successful) formula.

Westworld Ep 5... lock your kids up... very very explicit, and might raise a few questions... including the one... why did that guy swallow an elephant...

Ha ha - I am not a huge rugby fan though I usually end up watching the big international games with my brother, who is. I am, however, a big anime fan. A good anime series blows Pixar or Disney out of the water with the added bonus that it's usually aimed at teen/mature audiences. Personally, when it comes to choosing between a great anime and the average Hollywood movie or TV series I'll take the anime every time.

I'm not a fan of anything animated, and the only way I know which I dislike more between rugby and soccer is the one that is currently on at any given time
