Having done it for the first time last year I would suggest if your wife is a beginner spend equal amounts of time getting her skill set up, The handling levels were surprisingly bad and a lot of people seemed to waste energy just by not being able to manage the off road basics, such as descend reasonably swiftly or manage muddy corners.

Agreed. We will be working on that too!

No sani talk since last year July. We should be ashamed!

Anyway, looks like farmer glen is once again cooking up a storm! He tweeted the following:

@farmer_glen: First clue of the new bridge for 2014 @sani2c_scoop. GPS co ordinates  29'57.10"24S 30'03'34.35"E. Google it. More clues 2 come. Follow here

Following the coords takes you here:

Could we be looking at one of those awesome bush bridges?

Can't wait!

1. What is an awesome bush bridge?

2. How did you get those co-ordinates to work? I tried and google did not recognise them

Try: -29.958333, 30.059542 (Lat./Long.)

Google doesn't understand DMS coordinates.

My first Sani this year. Very excited. What are the highs and lows of this race?

Did it last year (my first) ...

My HIGH: First 3 hours of day 2.

My LOW: Sitting, waiting for the plane to take me home...

Best 5k I have ever spent!
