What chainstay protectors do you guys use? I used to do the "wrap-an-old-tube-around-it" method, but the bike is just so pretty...

She looks good, but what is wrapped around the top of the Lefty?

Knew I'm going to get this question. Its a piece of cloth I used when I transported the bike on a mates carrier. And I just left it there. Did a whole sani with me. So it's a bit of a luck charm.

I could make you one of these!? It stays put, easy to keep clean and works like a dream!! And it flexes with the stay!

Oh.... and it looks as good as the bike!

Same thoughts here. Cannondale could possibly spend a little effort on some nice chain stay protectors and also cable guide sollutions around the Lefty. I have seen so many that are rubbed to ****

How many use the SAVE seatpost....without getting into a debate as to if it works for us...?

Picked up a Save for my Carbon 3 at a bargain EUR110 from my (substitute) LBS in Germany, but have to wait until December to get back to SA to actually fit and ride it . I did test one on a Carbon 2 earlier this year and it worked for me.

Couldn't recommend this protection enough (1st Item), My Son did an OTB on his flash 1 at a recent race, got back on & realized the chain had come off, reset everything & carried on "balls to the wall".

We got home from the race & he called me over while washing the bike to show me the metal protector - it was bent buckled & dented all to hell, even pulled away from the frame. I cant imagine what would have happened to the chainstay had it not been there. Have already ordered a new one and at around R200 I reckon it's worth worth every cent!

For cable - frame - lefty rubbing protection, I use these 3m products

Cannondale Clear 3M Frame Protector Guard 8 piece - KF103

Ja, doing the same, I just think it would be nice to have a std solution on the bike as sold since this is something peculiar to the Lefty. I like what some of the other manufacturers are doing in terms of these small touches - Like Specialized's chain stay protectors on the Stumpjumper HT or Merida and Canyon's way of making sure you cannot knock your top tube with your bar. But not a big issue, just thinking aloud at the end of a long day.

Water bottle cage inside frame...

Hi guys

So popped past shop today, make sure all is ready for hand over tomorrow, had a bottle cage fitted to spots designed for it, and damm, we could not eve get a small bottle/750ml in and out, shock is in the way.

So asked guys to fit a bracket to seat tube and fit cage behind/below seat.

What does most do... how do you get bottle in and out if cage fitted inside frame/below shock?
