Wow, were you riding with 2 cases on your back?

Sure felt like it!

Most was on my front.

Took me three years but worth it for health and cycling!

I will be happy if I can loose some and get from 80kg to 75kg, which was my 'normal' weight before I hit the jolling 20s.

I wish for 80! I'm still 90!

I guess you didn't find that fall very humerus. (Sorry). Glad you're able to give it a second go, have a stormer next year. Hopefully I'll get my act together (and a decent seeding) and match my talk of a sub 3.

This is going to be the first time I will be riding the Argus, so obvious anxiety and excitement at the same time.

I am planning to ride it with my Mountain Bike using slicks of course, but wanted to find out what your thoughts are on this or if you've done it on a mtb before?

Thanks!

Can be done on a MTB. But speaking from exp, I did the 94.7 last year on a MTB. Its rough. Rather consider borrowing a road bike or buying a second had one or even new. You can get very decent axis bikes for 2k. Only did will be an avg speed from 26-33 depending on ur fitness ofc

Mtb gearing is more forgiving. Also the ride is not as harsh if you are not used to 5-6 hours on the bike. the big tyres soak up the bumps. Slicks on your mtb will be fine dude. I was passed last year by many guys on mountain bikes with knobblies, and I was on a carbon road bike racing machine.
