So to sum up,

 

A female cyclist got assaulted by what can only be described as a grown up bully.

This is obviously a hot topic, but the discussion got hijacked/sidelined* by a gang of grown up men. They were so wound up trying to prove who was the coolest oke amongst them that the original point of discussion pretty much got lost.

 

I tried to bring something into the discussion having actually heard the interview with the victim on the radio. Instead they decided to gang up on me. Attacking my posts, calling me names, trying to make jokes about me. High fiving each other, spending the time to like each other’s posts. Basically acting like bullies, on a thread about a bully. To be dead honest it did remind me of high school, because that’s the last time I remember this sort of thing. I’m not sure what could have prompted the apology that came along somewhere in the noise, but I’ve seen Chinarellos on olx that look more genuine.

 

If this was high school, I would have cared. I’m sure you are really nice guys when not trying to be all diktril behind a keyboard, but you’ve ruined a serious discussion acting like this. I’m pretty sure it’s not the first time either. Didn’t you used to have a thread where you could be all funny with umbrella chirps, make fart jokes and stuff all on your own? Did it get lost in the hub meltdown?

This whole post is a bit contradictory.

 

You say you tried to bring something to this thread however you came in guns blazing calling people high school kids because they voicing their opinions as to what they would do if that was their wife. You voiced your opinion on what you thought of those guys saying they would do bodily hard to this bully. You also called them keyboard warriors or whatever. Much like high school kids would do on the play ground.

 

You never really brought much to thread because you were asked what would you do if you were in the husbands shoes. You yet to answer that question. And if you going to fall back on the let the law take its coarse argument well you still adding no value to the thread because we all no that nothing will come of it from that angle.

 

My view on this while matter. I would also find the guy and give him a beating.

Many years ago my wife was recovering from a back op so was bedridden, my domestics ex husband gained access into our property and proceeded to beat the domestic. After a frantic call from the missus I managed to get home while he was still in the house, the nearest object to me was a cast iron steak pan. I hit him only twice with the pan, (believe me I wanted to go bos on his arse!) Then put him into the boot of my car and took him to the nearest Police station, laid a charge and then returned home to get the domestic patched up.

02h30 the following morning 5 police officers arrested me for assault with intent to do bodily harm, I had a wife who couldn't get out of bed to assist at all, appeared in court the following afternoon and was released without bail for wrongful arrest. Scariest 15 hours of my life!!

In a nutshell, I agree totally with the sentiments of teaching the arsewipe a lesson or 2, just be extremely cautious as in my experience the law does not always protect the victim!

True. My builders tell me that in the township, they have no faith in the SAPD. So they punish criminals themselves. Scary to think that stealing a cellphone can cost you your life.
